Someone mentioned a while back there was an ignore button somewhere here, have to say I have no idea where it is but if those irritated by any poster this could be a useful tool.
Please also share if anyone discovers it...

He said he has so much speed still he is way ahead of everything in the yard and even Buveur D could never live with him. I am certain Hendo wants him to win another CC, possibly 2 more to break the record. Maybe he will run him in the Betfair Chase to prove 3 miles is a mistake and then resume normal business over 2. We'll see.

It was a serious suggestion to be honest.
It’s easy to detect frustration sometimes and if there are tools available that prevent things spilling over they should be encouraged.
We’ve always avoided serious confrontation here, which is to everyone’s credit, need to keep it that way....
 
Think ive mentioned this before but I know theres a huge human and equine level to this but its sport. I MASSIVELY applaud Altiors connections for giving this ago, surely people want to see if this is possible. FWIW before the rule changes came in id of run Sprinter Sacre/Altior in the CC on a Wednesday then tried to win the Grand Annual on the Friday (assuming the horse had no ill effects) putting all the other runners out the handicap, or at least on feather-weights, then we would have a legend!!!! Probably a good job Ill never own a top class horse (horse welfare would always come first though, before i get peltors, we have horses here ourselves and they live better than us !)
 
If you ignored prestige, legendary status etc - the race Altior is most likely to win at the festival is the Ryanair.

He's probably slower than he has been, and is probably in decline now and the WMCC and CGC are probably going to have better horses in them.



We're lucky it won't happen.

Lobos, so what you're saying is one of the most emotionally attached trainers in racing is willing to run his current best horse over a trip on potentially terrible ground just to prove he doesn't stay 3miles? wow.

He won't be running on bad ground but if it were good I suppose there is no better way to test whether he'd stay the GC distance.

It might help to find out a bit sooner though, one way or another.
Does he really need a gradual step up ?
Having said that, I doubt very much he'll run in the betfair myself.
But if you owned him and was pushing for the step up then why not have a bash at the million, if you're a believer.
You'd have regrets if he wins at ascot , then wins the KG and GC - surely.

I'd imagine they'll not just throw him out over 3miles or whatever to prove a point though......I'd imagine they aren't there to make a million either....If it was me yes of course haha.

The week before the festival just passed it felt like any throw away comment was like a fuck wit bomb defusing scene from a Hollywood action comedy!! All comments have to taken in the best light possible. I’ve fallen out with some really nice people over the years that n social over misinterpreted messages, the written word can always hurt more than the spoken, that’s why people still prefer books to films. I’m so excited already and can see me getting stoned by the crowd like from the Life of Brian on a number of occasions for my typo’s, fake news, moronic requests and general idiocy but let’s always look of the bright side of our posts lads but remember peoples money is at stake so this forum is a bit different to most
 
Ps I personally think Altiors attempts at going out in distance will fail and I fear will cause him injury but it’s a path connections are determined to walk. Altior has done more than enough for me in his career to be considered one of the greats and anything achieved from now on is a bonus. I would prefer he stay at 2 mile and hopefully take on the new pretender in CPS but I got a bad feeling this desperation to appease the doubters will end badly.

There is an ignore button if anyone feels the need to use it. Click on the username of the poster you'd like to ignore. On left hand menu there is the option to add to ignore list.

No idea if this works but it looks like the option is there.
