Some people had doubts about him staying today, apart from delta work not sure if the horses were actually closing in on monalee....

It was bloody close , and i was on Monalee at 20-1 , But pleased for my A/P gold cup bets on Delta work.

Glad to have Delta Work back in the game, and PresentingPercy ran well enough after being left out the back a bit.
My book on the race is looking okay now, but one that I have backed and am intrigued to see how it runs in the Irish Gold Cup next time out is CHRIS’S DREAM another Henry De Bromhead horse, who may be ridden by Rachel Blackmore or Puppy Power in the race.
Loved his debut when winning a top 3M handicap off top-weight, and he is now a 159-rated horse after a single run out of novice company so HdB has had no choice but to aim high.

Been out. Just watched Saville back. Looks like Monalee got a bit lonely in front but Delta did well to reel him in. They did finish in a bit of a bunch but I'd imagine Delta can improve again and the Cheltenham hill will suit.
He’s got a good chance in an open gold cup, he ran in a good RSA last year and got an awful ride. What wins the gold cup for you then? I’ve backed lostintranslation and delta work at bigger prices.

I’d give Delta Work next to no chance in a gold cup. And I’m not even going to talk about Monalee because it’s just silly to think he can win. LOST IN TRANSLATION is taylor made for a gold cup and for me would be the one to beat. The horse that could be going slightly under the radar is NATIVE RIVER. Didn’t look the horse of old last season but you know he’s going to be there at the finish. One thing is for certain........ unless your name in KAUTO STAR, you really do need to stay all day to win a gold cup.

So you think a gold cups are suited by speed horses ??? I’m not gonna even bother listing the vast number of plodders who have won. You want to back Monalee then crack on but you may aswell Chuck it down the toilet.

Prime example today ........ Anibale fly 41 lengths tailed off. I’ll have a one over one with anyone that he beats Monalee by a minimum of 10L in a gold cup. That form today will prove to be pathetic.

Wasn't making a case for Monalee whatsoever by the way, I actually agree with you about him (not as boisterously though).
And putting your fancies in Bold won't give them a better chance of winning either.
