Nicholls always said that CDO is a better horse right handed and he is correct to say that. He has stopped saying it since the king george win but he always said it.

2nd, 3rd and 4th in the KG have totally failed to frank the form. CDO was impressive yesterday but no way of knowing how good Terrefort is at the moment and the time was modest.

2nd, 3rd and 4th in the Savills have 1st and 2nd in a G1 and 1st in a G2.

The 1st and 2nd in the group 1 was a match race, no other serious rivals so you would of expected that.

As for Monalee winning at odds on over 2m 4f in a 4 runner race, it doesn't really tell us anything about the gold cup.

The 2nd 3rd and 4th have totally failed to Frank the form??

The 2nd and 3rd haven't ran since? How could they Frank the form?
Yes poitologue wasn't at his best yesterday.but he was a fair way back in 4th in the king george.

Congratulations Archie your post is one of the best propaganda posts ever seen.

I was at Ascot yesterday with jono and we thought CDO did it very easily! He looked a class above Terrefort (which he would need to be) but ultimately he was. He travelled all over him, and put him away with the minimum of fuss, you knew he'd pick him off and he did it stylishly.

In terms of the actual literal form, it's pretty useless other than telling us he's better than Frodon and Elegant Escape - but we all knew that anyway?

There will be a helluva lot of receny bias though, with Presenting Certainty missing the weekend, and CDO bolting up. I think PP would have danced all over Terrefort yesterday, and Thistlecrack too in the King George...so I wouldn't get carried away.

I think CDO should be shorter than Native River, and if I was starting RIGHT NOW, with no ante post 40/1 slips on PP, I would probably back CDO, with such respect for Nicholls' ability.

Personally though, as I am already invested, I'll be keeping the faith with Presenting Percy... Clan Des Obeaux has justified himself as the MAIN danger, however you can pick holes in him regarding the track and his form... well done to the people on at big prices. I really like the horse but didn't see this coming, and am going to let the dust settle before acting.

Plodalong Percy probably wont even turn up looking at the exchange market so all you have running for you is a horse who is best racing right handed on a flat track.

Hardly the certainty that you are making out. Tizzard wont be losing any sleep over any of the horses. He has this race covered.

I know you're being controversial on purpose, but I'll bite...

Tizzard has them covered?

The King George gives enough of a nod to Clan Des Obeaux being better than Native River than you suggest?

Then, Terrefort was only 2L behind Elegant Escape, and Clan Des Obeaux has just beaten the same horse (Terrefort) by 11L, when you can definitely argue Terrefort was in better condition for yesterdays race.

Ergo, you're talking nonsense about losing sleep

Clan Des Obeaux Is a better horse than any other horse in the field at a right handed fast flat track like kempton.

The gold cup is at left handed undulating testing cheltenham.

if Clan is to win a grade 1 chase going left handed then its going to come at aintree not cheltenham.

 I'm aware of the track configuration...:highly_amused:

It isn't me claiming CDO is a certainty either, I'm just disagreeing that Tizzard
has the race covered
based on Clan Des Obeaux being better right handed?

That's a fairly weak branch to hang it all on, when he looks so far superior...

How strongly do you think going left handed will affect him, for Tizzard to have this race sewn up?

I actually posted about a case for Elegant Escape myself, and read those comments. They're around the same time.

Maybe we're the same person :devilish:

The 2nd is no mug what so ever. Tanked all over him. 1 flick of the switch and the way he opened up, I was seriously Impressed.

For me he wins this. As simple as that.
I'll be very surprised if he dosent.

With CE a certainty for the Arkle thats your double sorted :devilish:

FFS, Potato has started posting on here now too. Let the daft comments begin....

Don't think the mods or regulars on here will tolerate or entertain his incessant ramblings about EE.

CDO is at least 6 lengths to the good over EE.

The only way EE comes into the end of race equation is if it pisses down from now until March 15th.

There are at least 6 horses with better claims.

I don't think Frodon will stay but I still say he finishes ahead of EE.

Frodon may go ryanair now
