great race. Bellshill superb. :triumphant:

Get in Bellshill! Left handed, pfft.

Road to respect the far bigger engine but jumped poorly. Needs a stronger pace and firing in to them. Front running and letting him making his own mind up wouldn't see him to his advantage. But he made it round and still stuck on so you can't be dissapointed as you know for a fact there's improvement there in the jumping department

That was a tough race on that ground hopefully they come out of it healthy.

Agree if he jumped like that round Cheltenham he wouldn't get round imo. His back end was too high and landing too steeply, was impressed he still made such a race if it. Personally don't think either will make too big an impact come the Gold Cup though.

Part of me thinks we may see that battle again in March.
Just genuinely don't know if it'll be for first place or third place.
I'd go 60/40 third place for now.

Bellshill jumped nice and straight think the right handed myth can be put to bed now.

Now sat on a 56/1 Bellshill ticket thanks to you guys with the Hills DRF/Cheltenham double offers.

Think the opposite. Road To Respect is faster. Bellshill is a bigger horse with a bigger slower stride. Stiffer test will suit the latter more but he's beat him twice now. Road To Respect could maybe do with some blinkers his jumping isn't good enough to win a Gold Cup. Bellshill will probably find one or two too good.

Frodon shown up in Ryanair last year

Is Frodon in the same form as he was last year?

To be honest I don't know why I'm defending Frodon, he won't win it :highly_amused:

14/1 with 4 places the bet for you then ;)

They've said it a few times in the last week. There's nothing left over 2m. So they daid ref mills or straight to the qmcc

Be as well going straight there. He's over reached 2x now so why risk it again.
An extra run won't get him any nearer beating Altior anyway.

Mullins on ABP

“I was concerned about the ground at Christmas and that’s why we didn’t run here then. We ran him down in Tramore.

“I gave it every chance to rain without taking him out. I had to declare him and leave him in and risk getting fined by the stewards.

“No rain came. You want to run in your Gold Cup, but we couldn’t and it was a no-brainer to take him out.

“He’s a fine, big horse with a real soft (ground) pedigree to jump. We’ll wait until we have too – if that’s next year, so be it.
