I have a spurious route to the owners and they’ve always said decent ground and the horse can still win this.
I know he’s been working much better this side of Christmas too....
 
Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup favourite Presenting Percy enjoyed a schooling session over fences at Galway on Saturday.

Already a dual Festival winner having landed the Pertemps Final and the RSA Chase in each of the last two seasons, Pat Kelly’s stable star is a best priced 4-1 to make it a hat-trick in the blue riband on Friday week.

He has run just once since his RSA triumph – successfully defending his crown in the Galmoy Hurdle in January – meaning he will return to Prestbury Park having not run over fences all season.

However, his supporters will be encouraged to see him in action at Galway, where he was joined by stablemate and fellow Festival winner Mall Dini.

Racing at Galway is right-handed, but the fences were turned around to allow Presenting Percy to jump left-handed – as he will at Cheltenham.

Galway Racecourse tweeted: “Great to see Presenting Percy making light work of a left-handed Galway this morning! Mall Dini in great shape also.”

It is relevant imo

Elegant Escape has ran at Cheltenham 4 times and been beaten 4 times (does that not worry you?), most recently by Frodon, who wouldn't be sighted in this. It hardly screams gold cup winner to me.

His Welsh National win was a good effort but the gold cup is a complete different proposition.
 
Elegant Escape is a beast. Doubt him at your peril.

This race is all about stamina and EE has it 8n abundance and he fights like viking flagship.
Ready to peak.in the gold cup. Rated 162 currently the way a gold cup is ran will see a 176 performance from EE. Will really thrive in this race.
Gets better every single time, ready to dine at the big boy table now. Has come of age.

Grow up mate, we all have opinions but yours is just the same mind numbing nonsense after anyone posts anything to do with their fancy. Let's see what he does on the day, if he wins fair play to you. But it'll be a tough ask for him. I'm on native river to do the double, a horse with similar profile to yours, but with a bit of speed to boot. And proven gold cup form.
