Cheltenham 2020 - Ante post bets

Out of interest Kev, a horse of that price do you play on the nose or ew

Horse by horse basis so no set rules for me ...

Target is certain enough and it's competitive so each way for Delta work in this instance

....I usually back e/w ante-post but I rarely equally split my stakes. I usually put enough on the place element to cover my total outlay.

Minella Indo looking very good there :)

Carefully Selected fairly impressive too.

Allaho JLT I reckon. Although 16/1 isn't juicy

Oh wow.

Kemboy and Al Boum Photo.

Well done archie :)!!!

I will start the Gold Cup 2020 thread soon.

Well they haven't wasted any time cutting the Price of Kemboy , Hills into 5's now from 10's this morning.!.

....long way to go, but I backed him @ 10s after witnessing him at Aintree.

Chuffed for Archie.

1.5U on Gypsy Island as she swept up round the outside at 16/1

Hate backing McManus filly’s and it’s saved me a lot of money in the past (Apples Shakira, Eptante etc) but that was seriously impressive. Already had one spin round hurdles and didn’t disgrace herself.

Could see me adding more on her prior to her debut in the autumn

Mares Novice, she lost her only start over hurdles sonwill be a second season novice

Still 16/1 with hills any race, even though mares novice definitely the obvious target you would think?!

...only 12s this morning, but I got the SkyBet 25-1 for Mares Novice.

Notice Colreevy won, put up ante-Post for this years Cheltenham by Scooby. Not sure what it’s target might be for next year, but perhaps another to keep an eye on.

I think a few including myself put her up to be fair.

I ended up backing her and Gypsy for the Mares novice :sorrow:

Al Boum turns the tables at Cheltenham for me. Kemboy looked to be running on fumes at the end there (granted was keen throughout) and was given a great final ride by the master, but I don't think he wants a stiff finish up the hill. Not to mention the plethora of exciting novices coming through to challenge.

Chuffed for Archie though, cracking season for the syndicate. Think he would be deadly in a King George tbf

....not sure ABP was catching as they approached the line. I’m reminded Mullins ran Kemboy in last years Irish Grand National so he must think he’s a definite stayer. Next years Gold Cup is shaping up very nicely, fingers crossed they turn up safe and sound.

Gypsy Island was very impressive and probably the nest bumper horse we've seen this year as regards a prospect for next season.
Can't believe Bet365 and Ladbrokes opened up at 4's yesterday, snatched their hands off.

How she travelled and came all the way round the outside and then pushed out to finish was very impressive in what looked a good race.

Was able to get restricted amount on at 25's like others mentioned and covered at 33's with 365 for the supreme also.

If Kemboy was mine I’d be getting him ready and aiming firmly at the Betfair Chase, think he’s about untouchable over 3m on a flat track

Minella Indo surely goes RSA but what do we think for Allaho and Carefully Selected?

Allaho JLT
Carefully Selected RSA or 4 miler (depends on Next Destination perhaps)

Wouldn't bank Allaho at only 16s JLT at this stage though.

Big chaser though ... wouldn't need to improve lots to be a player next year on his hurdles form
