Every other time I was right down to almost my whole budget and backed a winner. This time. I backed a loser yest. And I'm bang on budget now. So that's me 100% done. Need as many as poss to get there obviously.

Definitely
A few much bigger bets
Will leave some races now
And fill odd gaps in others where appropriate
A lot won’t turn and are NRNB so will be backing more for sure

Just in Office, missed couple of doubles off original list.

Looking at previous years NR's double in the next two weeks. In a decent enough spot now at less than 10% - need that to stay below 20%, ideally below 15% but our of my sausage hands.
 
I have 263 open bets on 365 and about 30 elsewhere. Will top up when I get paid this week. Its a bit scattergun but that has worked for me before.

CE and Le Richbourgh have hurt and DDS switch would be a double blow but still optimistic.
 
995pts staked here, after CE & LR (and others of course) being out my hit before the festival starts is -130pts, unfortunately my 'dutching' style did not pay off for the Arkle and cost me a fair bit!

They were both in a fair few bets, BUT for some reason I still feel in a better position than previously due to the amount of singles and 'any race' bets I have done.

I do not fear 'dutching' again next season, I just think it's incredibly unlucky to have the first & third favourites get injuries within 3 weeks of the festival, but it is the risk of ante post that you just have to accept.

I will eventually post my singles up too at some point.

List of horses that have been injured or worse and pulled from the festival for me are:

Some serious horses in there, none of which I regret. Can't believe how much I targeted the Arkle. And now, unless DDG brings it home (somehow) it will have been an incredibly poor race for me now.

I Like to have at least 2 picks per race Antepost , Just because of what has happened this last
couple of week's , and getting on at the bigger prices , mean's smaller outlay . Not quite as much Pain.
 
I dropped a bollock the other evening editing a Lucky 31 bet with B365 to replace Le Richbourg, I didn’t realise the odds on all the other selections change to the latest odds when you complete the edit and lost all the value on the ante post prices on Monalee, Dallas De Picton and Klassical Dream!!

I nearly did that ! As Jackie Moon has advised with the cashout on 365 better now to do individual multiples rather than L15 etc.
 
I sobered up quite quickly after doing it and stopped myself from editing any other bets until I checked the potential changes. I’m gutted as I Klassical Dream at 15’s, Monalee at 10’s and Dallas De Picton at 13’s, they’re all half that now :sorrow:

I won't be personally.
I will do some fun place pots, and poss a few fun ew luckys etc... As my Mrs .. always asks me to give her a few and feel obliged to back them myself.

But in terms of singles. I'm all done.

Cheers Scooby. I love the placepot at the big meetings as there's so much dead money out into the pool by once a year punters.
