‘Mydaddypaddy is a very good horse and was only turned five when he ran in the Supreme last year. I think there’s a lot more to come from him as he gets older and stronger. He is a very talented horse, and we are going to send him down the Champion Hurdle route and see how far he takes us. Where we start, we don’t just know yet, but he will not be running on quick ground by any stretch of the imagination. We will just wait for plenty of rain.’

Good to hear, but all that does for me is strengthens the case of Idaho Sun…

b365 have moved IDAHO SUN in from 33/1 to 16/1. Thats a big move. Anyone got a clue why ? They were top price at 33/1 but that is a big change.

I imagine it's because a stable tour has mentioned something , Corals did the same thing with I.S. about a month ago.. 👍.

I think the 33s was just a wrong price.
Obviously injured last season there were always going to be question marks about his wellbeing and whether he would go chasing, I believe Harry Fry has come out and said he's well and staying over timber.
MyDaddyPaddy has been well touted in recent days and Idaho Sun was four times his price, I think he just represented a rare piece of ante post value and 365 have now closed that gap...

Video of him in a field with his mates......

Harry Fry comment...

"Idaho Sun is delighted to have rejoined his friends. After his recovery from a stress fracture of the hock in March, he enjoyed his first day out in the field"

If that comment is enough to move a market we are all
In trouble. Unfortunately bookies look for anything to shorten a price up. Ludicrous. They should be embarrassed

The Harry Fry update I provided was given 2/3 weeks ago,
I know Skelton gave a v positive update on MyDaddyPaddy this week so maybe 365 finally just joined the dots

Anybody have any views on Matin Midi Et Soir? I know he ran no sort of race at the end of the season but I don't really pay much attention to a run out against a field of hard fit horses. He was one of the talking horses for the Triumph last season. Still only young but could go chasing. Difficult to find much on him but statements like "A gorgeous horse, moves beautifully, lots of quality, massive potential" from De Bromhead whets the appetite a bit at a huge price in a field that will either cut up to about 10 runners or if anything happens to Lossie, probably about 20. The only nag I have about him is the weird ownership thing they have going on with him. Why would you sell some of a top class horse if you don't need the money. He is available at 100/1. Surely there are worse 100/1 pokes out there. If he is confirmed staying hurdling, this would definitely be a potential target. There was a lot of noise when he came over. De Bromhead won't rush one so I'm not too concerned about last season. He gets it right more than he gets it wrong.

As well as that 👆

Macho Man is another peaking my interest at a big price. He is another one that arrived with form in the book. With State Man now seemingly retired, i could see Willie trying to make him up into a Champion Hurdle horse with Anzadam going down the Arkle route.

I have already kind of split all the owners horses up into different races and am now doing Sudoku with the combination of the trainers. Be interested to see where Talk The Talk ends up. He could come here but i have him as another Arkle type with You Proof going up towards the BANC. He will be twice the chaser he was over hurdles. I can just sense it :D

Be very surprised it talk the talk is more of an arkle type than BANC.

I thought they got it all wrong with him at the festival, only got up late at the drf on heavy ground where he was strongest at the line, I thought turners was the right race for him. Ended up outpaced in the supreme. You do get the odd horse who can cope with two miles over fences better than hurdles, as their jumping gains them lengths, but he wouldn't really be an obvious candidate for one thats going to be way better over fences either going be his breeding and no point to point background.

I'd imagine theyd be thinking two and a half miles + over fences, and he is one I've had a decent amount on for the BANC as I think he's way overpriced on that one bad run that was Joseph's fault.

William Munny goes to the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown in the middle of November. He went out in the field and picked up a fracture, we got him back and he had one run in the Grade One at Punchestown (finishing just over 18 lengths behind Lossiemouth) in open company.

“If we get him back to where he was just touched off by Kopek De Bordes in the Supreme (March 2025), he will be very competitive in that division. So that is the route he will take – Morgiana and then on to all those Grade Ones and Champion Hurdle.”

Probably nothing but Brighterdaysahead has slowly contracted into 20s for this having being as big as 33s over the past few days and gradually sneaked out to 8s for the Mares Hurdle.
