What's the worry with faugheen?. 15/8 with sky and just over 2/1 for a few quid on the exchanges.
He's hardly a certainty so I'm not sure what price people think he should be to be worried about that.

Wouldnt be worried at all. Jus small adjustments because they slightly over reacted to a win over jezki. And finally realised buveur dair is very much a live contender.

4pts win faugheen 8/1
2 pts double north hill harvey 7/4 (won) faugheen 6/1 CH.

10 pts win buveur dair 4/1

1pt melon ew 20/1 1/4

Min 240.0 0.2 points

Added yesterday
1pt ew mtoy 25/1 1/5

Prob have a look at yorkhill over Christmas and see what he does in the lexus.
But I wouldn't be worried about faugheen at this stage any more than I would have been last week. You back him knowing it's a possibility he could get injured. But that market tells you nothing other than there's no interest to play him as current prices. As everyone is already on.

Faugheen all red on oddschecker - drifting like a barge

Hardly moved in price. One book who doesn't take a bean is 5/2.
Someone lays off a bit of money just before Christmas at a reasonable price in 3.0. And everybody gets in a panic and starts laying off faugheen and backing buveur dair.
The bookies dream cutting horses for no reason. And not putting them back out when t's clear we find out nothing's wrong

Who e vers backing buveur dair at 2/1 Who hasn't already backed him at bigger prices and solely on this move thinking faugheens out Is going to look a complete idiot.

You and I have very different ideas about how barges drift:devilish:

There Is no doubt that he's not out.

Pp 100% would not be top price yorkhill he'd have been 6/1 tops before all the nonsense .

I really hope mullins says nothing and why should he. And some idiots put faugheen out past 7.0

I don't buy the fact there isnt a problem simply because of Yorkhill's CH price. I don't think its a given he would revert to this race if Faugheen doesnt make it, as I think they genuinely fancy a crack at the GC with him.

You could argue that BD should be shorter in the betting than Faugheen anyway, and this could just be one person taking a view.

I would argue that deffinately fwiw I think buveur dair was far too big and now at 9/4 is a very fair price with faugheen in the race.
But what I don't like is people backing on the assumption of faugheen being out and not because they think buveur dair is the pick of the 2 . Of which he is imo.

Yorkhills not the only one but hes the most important.
I know exactly how the market works.
Trust me :)

There is very little money in the ante post markets in the exchanges so someone could create a drift by laying a few quid, then making a big deal of things on Twitter.

I didn't say there was a problem with Faugheen. I said I didn't buy the argument about Yorkhill's price for the CH proving it.

Pot noodle Scooby.

Would the bookies react to the exchange is it was one person taking a view?

Genuinely just someone laying off some money for Christmas. There's more to life than Cheltenham for many wise men.

Betbright and Paddy are rock solid Faugheen at 13/8 and the only 'major' firm that has BDA shorter than Faugheen is Stan James.

Hahaha. Cheltenham IS Christmas.

Not me. But someone who sits and watches the market passed to someone with a few followers that he's been matched a week before Christmas at slightly above the market rate
and before you know it "faugheens out" all over Twitter.

And people running for buveur dair with the books.

Hahaha. Cheltenham IS Christmas.

That's what I say to my Mrs genuinely. But I'm far from a wise man.

If for what ever reason I needed extra money for Christmas I'd have no problem laying faugheen at 3.0 to get some cash.
