Champion Bumper 2020

There are signs that Gigginstown are softening their stance on the champion bumper
I don’t think they would of ran a nice horse such as abracadabras a few years ago
And they did run felix desjy 2 years ago

Both cheap store horses. Even for willie they'd run a cheap one.

They wont run wide receiver. But hamundarson looks the type they maybe would let run. But a guessing game.

What do you mean by 'store horses'

A young horse with no experience of a ptp or bumper. Your basically buying on breeding, looks/ movement alone, and possibly word of mouth.

They never run the expensive ptp horses. The only ones they've ran are stores they've bought considerably cheaper. Felix desjy and abacadbras were under 30k as stores

Cheers thanks for the info :)

Added Ramillies for this race @25-1. last week. Looking forward to seeing him run today .

Will be interesting to see if ferny hollow has Learned from his 1st run and is a little more professional tomorrow, as the engines certainly there.

I'd love to see kevloafs face, if he's sauntering 10L clear. (After cashing)

I reckon he'll be cheering as he beats trees and I collect tomorrow.

Then I'll be laughing at him over revving his massive engine in March and floundering up the hill like Dawn Approach in the Derby

Fingers crossed.

The horse who finished behind him didnt do much for the form today mind you. Gordon's horse should make a race of it I reckon.

Just posted elsewhere but what I'll actually do is see if they put a decent double up to win tomorrow and MArch.

Probably did cash him a bit prematurely, but gut does tell me he will be too raw this year.

I'm not that bothered if I'm wrong, stoopid race. :highly_amused:

Surprised Appreciate It hasn't been mentioned today after a very good performance.

QUOTES: That was a very good performance. Patrick said riding him at home that he'd come on a lot from his last run and you can see the evidence of that today. He showed a nice turn of foot albeit over two and a half miles. He did it the hard way making all and I liked the way he changed gear in the last two furlongs. He's a real chaser in the making but I'd imagine we might try and go down the Cheltenham bumper route - Willie Mullins, trainer

Agree. Think Fakeira should be fav today. His Bumper 4th has worked out very well indeed.

Hopefully Ferny Hollow can do something impressive here and live up to its rep!

I stuck with Ferny Hollow but it might be time to give up

I cannot believe you morons made me feel stupid about cashing out on that donkey.

No way he's a bumper type. :highly_amused:

He'll be good in a years time.

You're allowed to think that if you're against him now :p

Couldnt find link so had to go with racing post app commentary! what happened?

I actually like him I woldnt fancy him over hurdles, but on the flat I do.
. Winner got 7 pounds.
But In all reality what ever joseph lines up here has a very big chance.

Did the third run his race? If he did the front two could both be smart.

Complete guesswork at this stage though and still an impossible race for antepost purposes.

Joking aside, i honestly think it will be good form. . He's genuinely ran in 2 strong races. And has been beaten by 2 giggi horses that may not even run. I assume his 3rd run will be at the Dublin racing festival in another very strong race. I'm sure they could win a midweek bumper no bother but hes gone for the good ones.
