Breeder’s Cup

Is it too early to blast this baby back open?

I have been trying to pinpoint potential O'Brien and English raiders through the season so far but can't hammer anything down. Fields Of Gold will be max bet if he goes over and Full Serrano will be absolutely getting backed for the Dirt Mile again if he goes back there after winning me a packed last season. He races very fast for a mile but wouldn't fancy him for the Classic. Working out where O'Brien's runners go in relation to The Arc Meeting and Breeders Cup Meeting is the trickiest. I fancy Minnie Hauk for the Arc and would back Jan Brughel wherever he went. He had no chance yesterday and could command a nice price. Desert Flower for Godolphin is worth a bet wherever she goes. Outside of her, Godolphin don't appear to have a strong hand this time, though from a price perspective, that could be a bonus.

Anybody got any early thoughts, any horses over here or the states that have taken your eye?
For me, at this stage my bets are

Classic - Soverignty 7/1, Nysos 40/1,14/1
Turf - Rebel's Romance 8/1
Mile - Henri Matisse 10/1
Filly and Mare Sprint - Two Sharp 20/1
Distaff - Seismic Beauty 33/1

I'm going to get Book'Em Danno on side for the sprint soon also.

Like it Zach. I haven't watched any Stateside racing this year but Nysos was one i was very keen on last season. Baffert was glowing when i heard him speak about it but he didn't take the plunge on the Classic. Is that his aim this time around? I will be joining you with that bet if so

Yeah mate that's the goal, Pacific classic next then straight to the BC

Good spot Holden. That's Dave Young's site isn't it, or one he works on. Sounds like a low key end to her career after reading that. A group race at Newbury or something similar it sounds like.
I'm not sure who's site it is tbh.

For the BC Sovereignty sets the 3yo standard but I quite like Nysos of the older lot.

The Distaff is open atm with Thorpedo Anna potentially going to the classic. Good Cheer and Immersive haven't kicked on and look regressive currently. Seismic Beauty looks the value in that.

We know Rebel Romance goes over for the turf again but not sure what else currently.

This time of the year it's the focus on interviews and comments on what goes or not.

Talk to me chaps.

What do we think of Journalism 12/1 and Antiquarian 20/1 e/w for the classic?

Also have Khaadem in mind for the turf sprint at 14s, his prep work is good and after a bad season, could Charlie Hills end with 100/1 Ciceros Gift and a Breeders Cup winner? I know he is 9 but the ground will be in his favour and will have plenty of pace to aim at. They are the only 3 i am taking early so you can guarantee they will get stuffed by the draw.

Journalism I couldn't put you off but I don't think antiquarian has a chance really, his last race was a total farce if you watch it back from the start
