Ballymore (Previously Neptune) Novice Hurdle 2018

I'd slap you with a lettuce BC :) Wish we had an emoji for that!

Moving forwards (and speaking from experience from my own punting a few years back) when I realised that its effectivly half the odds if you back for two races, i quickly started realising that the value starts slipping away quite quickly.....

It's a little bit like backing each way too, that can very quickly be poor value and scooby made some good points on that elsewhere.... I still do back each way and imagine will continue to for the time-being, but well worth reading over again :encouragement:

In your case, I'm sure you can just about make it work out the same as you've weighted the stake differently, but it'd be much easier to find the "to win any race market" on PP, BFSB, WH and Skybet... IMO :)

From a singles perspective, as this is that is perfectly fine, however it is no good for multi's as no one offers 'any race' for multiples I don't believe, do they?

You can add one 'any race' selection in a multiple with PP or BFSB but for multiples you're right yeah.

I'd want to be confident on the majority of multiple selections unless I was covering multiple like you've mentioned previously:encouragement:

If The Cap Fits looks top drawer alright he's not even had to get out of 2nd gear so far, I'm surprised Harry Fry dropped him down in trip lto he looks the type to get 2m 4/5f

Nice performance that from If The Cap Fits. Looking like a good little bet.

If The Cap Fits looks top drawer alright he's not even had to get out of 2nd gear in his first two starts, I'm surprised Harry Fry dropped him down in trip lto he looks the type to improve with a trip, Noel Fehily gave him a glowing mention in Paul Fergusons Jumpers to follow book this year

Noel Fehily will have to join the queue that Scooby is at the front of :p

Lol. I honestly can't see him being beaten in any of the races coming up. No matter the opposition. I will be suprised if he dosent turn up in the neptune unbeaten.
I'm aware it's bullish but he has everything, you can tell he's good when Noel is looking behind him then let's out an inch of reign and he's gone.

Then next year

Annamix arkle
If the cap fits jlt
Next destination/ samcro RSA

If only it was was that easy :)

The 33/1 about ITCF is still so tempting for here, too tempting in fact. I only have 16s any race and I've just watched Neon Wolf for Fry and Fehily last season before ITCF's runs back and its impossible to not be impressed IMO.

Although the RSA 2019 winner is On The Blind Side :triumphant:

Samcro might have something to say about that, he really is a special talent

Palmers hill very disappointing there. Early stages but I'd be happy enough to cross him off the list of potential winners.

What did you make of the winner? Did the race fall apart for him or is he really that good?

One things for sure, whatever Twister did with him over the summer has worked wonders. A maiden after 8 races, now 3 from 3 this season with some wide margin successes.

Not much help but really not sure. Will have to reserve judgment for another day

SAMCRO tmrw , not a gimme on paper 1/3. We will know more about him afterwards but I for one expect fireworks , got him in so many multiples its scary.

Samcro puts his unbeaten record and huge reputation on the line in the "Monksfield" Novice Hurdle at Navan on Sunday.

The son of Germany cost Gigginstown House Stud an eyewatering £335,000 at the Goffs UK sale at Aintree in April of last year after winning his only point-to-point and while he has a long way to go if he is to repay that huge investment, he has made an impressive start.

Gordon Elliott's charge won three bumpers last season and having justified extremely cramped odds when making a perfect start to his hurdling career at Punchestown in mid-October, he steps up to two and a half miles for a Grade Three contest Elliott won for the third time in six years with Death Duty 12 months ago.

"He's a horse we think an awful lot of. Whatever he does this year is only going to be a bonus until he goes jumping fences," Elliott told Racing UK. "He's a very nice, exciting horse to have.

"He'll run in Navan and we'll make a plan from there."

Hope samcro does the business tomorrow, wins impressively and goes as short as possible, very happy with what I originally put on him and theres some excellent value to be had around him, he's keeping the prices up with bookmakers out to try and get any other horse other than samcro in there books for the race to level up there liabilities

Imagine Samcro getting beat:devilish:

Should win this. . But imagine him not winning on the bridle by 10 lengths there will be a few shocked. :highly_amused:
Very high expectations and rightly so at his current Price, but the horse hasn't made himself that price

No idea how they'd go about adjusting the market.
Find an excuse for him? Or cut everything else?
Genuinely think if he was beat or workmanlike and drifted to 8s 10s people would go back in on him simular to ivanovic gorbatov after the spring juvenile.
Shouldn't need to worry about it after this race.

I think they would find an excuse for him in it being heavy ground and first time at 2.5.

Maybe drift him slightly and shorten for the supreme

Not sure but valid opinion. Couldn't see him going for the supreme what so ever though personally. 2.5 on this ground should be right up his street
