Ballymore (Previously Neptune) Novice Hurdle 2018

Samcro a sea of blue for the ballymore before today's race already. :highly_amused: into 7/2 4/1

Must have walked out the box into the stables well.

On bumper form he's no good thing to beat Good Thyne Tara.

He's obviously very good but at the moment he's just the latest in a long line of Giggi's next Pegasus which includes Don Cossack, No More Heroes and Death Duty. They all failed in Cheltenham novice hurdles and, while those on early with double figure prices have done very well, the current price is nuts.

Who ever is leaving this £560 up on samcro for this race at 5.6 mid race is taking a chance

Whoooosh. Effortless....!

He absolutely pings his hurdles. That just confirmed what I thought about him. He's going to be special.

Be surprised if there is any negativity surrounding this horse now, mightily impressive.

I wonder if the likes of Slate House and Next Destination will look at the Albert Bartlett now as a far more winnable race. Samcro hasn’t beaten anything of their standard yet but the way he travels I can’t see any novice living with him this season

I e-mailed a couple of bookies for next years CH and they didn't want to know haha!

I think he's going chasing to be fair, obviously a Gold Cup hope for 2020!

Arkle then Gold Cup would be my guess......which will soon be referred to as the'Finians Oscar Route'.:devilish:

Just pure class that from Samcro, such an exciting horse.

Gordy after the race - "Hes the speed for 2m and the stamina for 3m, i think this probably looks about the right trip."

Haha :encouragement:

How confident are people that the Ballymore is THE race. Elliott again said he has speed for 2 and stamina for 3, and that they'll split 'them' up....

If Samcro can win any of the 3 (which obviously he looks like he can) is there any chance Elliott/Giggi have suitable Ballymore candidates and Samcro just wins the Albert Bartlett?

I don't personally, but any thoughts?

Certain the ballymore is the race if he stays unbeaten.
Lawyers hotel up next after christmas. Thats his 1st real test where he will face proper opposition but hes done everything he can do so far

2/1 in places for the Ballymore. If he gets much shorter I'll be tempted to start laying off.

I don't lay anything personally but the any race market on the exchange is tempting if you've already gone balls deep on samcro antepost.
