Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2020

Really happy with that from King Roland, as it will almost certainly have been a trip too short as he was running on the closer to the post they got. Jumping will need to be tidied up a bit, but that comes with time and experience.

Ballymore bound , it’s a race that is building nicely

It Sure Is declared at Newbury tomorrow over 2m4f. Up against Faustinovick who is well thought of and has race fitness on his side.

Do You Wanna know runs for Longsdon too and he could give a bit of a form line to Longhouse Poet.

Ran a nice race, ran on well towards the end too, I'm going to suggest experience got him beat there, and he could be a nice horse going forward.

Don't actually think Sevarano is up to much myself, although has some nice form in the book, but that was his sixth hurdle performance, matched with race fitness, so can't be downbeat about not beating him.

I think Faustinovick needs 3 miles. He is too one paced for me over shorter.

I actually think he is. He's in a similar mould to Paisley Park for me, he was beat by the right horses last year, but just didn't win one like Paisley did that year. I think he'll go through the season underestimated.

You might be right Jack. Not sure where his end game lies though. Bartlett?

Trainer said Challow next for Severano. If he's left around the 130-135 mark I'd go for a handicap like the lanzarote, but i suppose the money is the same.
He would meet a lot of the bartlett's usual trends though wouldn't he ?

Handicap could be an option, yeah.

Not the Ballymore if he's going for the Challow :highly_amused::devilish:

Possibly would meet the trends, I can't remember them completely, and usually only brush up on them nearer the time.

Think Thyme Hill would batter him myself.

Happy with that as well and agree with what has been said, very green and jumping wasn’t fluent at all, but I reckon that will be a good novice hurdle that will through up plenty of winners. He will be seen to best effect over further definitely! Winner looked pretty good as well, will improve for his first run over hurdles as well.

I don't need to be told just how irrelevant and stupid this is, but I absoluuuuuuuuutely loved Neon Wolf and hope so much that King Roland can fill that void.

Haven't spoken about him much at all but been altered to him from very early when either Jackie or CoD first mentioned him last season.

I'd absolutely LOVE him to be top class, I just hope todays race will end up looking good....and that he improves for a step up.

Not got him backed yet but I am a fan. Probably for the wrong reasons so far though.

Put in both threads.

"Envoi looks good. Abacadabras is a speedy type, whereas I can see Envoi Allen stepping out in trip before the season is out," said Elliott.

"Envoi is the type of horse who will carry on improving with every run he has.

"We've got some nice young novice hurdlers this season and they are what you need, as they are the future."

Going to be a serious test tomorrow for EA and wouldn't suprise me at all if Abacadabras turned him over, some race to look forward to and its not just a 2 horse race either

Thought i'd share another quote..

I was delighted with Abacadabras when he won a nice race at Navan a few weeks ago. He showed he had learnt plenty from his first run over hurdles and I really like the way he jumped and quickened up over the last three flights that day. He's a talented horse who I think should be competitive at the top level as a novice hurdler so I'd be hoping for a good showing.

Envoi Allen was impressive in his maiden hurdle at Down Royal and I really like the way he jumped that day. This will be far tougher and I believe that we will only see the best of him when he goes out in trip but he's a classy type with plenty of pace so it makes sense to keep him at this trip for the time being. Obviously he is still unbeaten for us and we are hoping that he will develop into a top class novice hurdler but this will be a good test for him as he is taking on some really good types. His overall form makes him the one to beat and I couldn't be happier with him coming into this race.

Wouldn't be worried if Abacadabras doesn't win tomorrow, I view the race as one for more staying types, so I'm expecting Envoi Allen & Midnight Run to be fighting the finish out

Midnight Run to be outpaced turning in but closing with every stride after the last is the only straw I’m clutching to! Envoi outpaced him at Navan bumper & I can’t see him reversing that, he’s not as slick a leaper as the Ballymore winner in waiting :devilish:

I'd want abacadabras to be going close, iv no excuses.

I still think embittered has a fair chance of being involved. I'd already backed him for tomorrow at 25s ew. Which will be my only bet kn the race itself. But 33s were available earlier. I dont get why hes as big as that.
