Ballymore Novice Hurdle 2020

Interestingly, Gordon said he will walk the course on Sunday and make his decision then. The proper rain doesn't come till Monday.

Yes Charlie, the only thing walking the course at 8.30am Sunday will do is give Gordon a feel for how good/bad the ground is, before the main rain comes on Monday.
That's why I think it's more likely that he could choose the Ballymore, but without knowing (only estimating) if that is going to be run on the ground he hope's to get.

Did he say he's coming over a day early to walk the course this morning to get a better idea too?

No; he said he usually arrives Sunday evening but he’s coming Saturday evening so he can walk the course Sunday morning

....this is the target for The Big Getaway according to Mullins in his RP article today.

Correct.

I'm meeting him at the airport with some Factor 50 and a pair of Havaianas. :encouragement:

Envoi Allen trading 2.8 to back now, presumbaly the yard cleaned out all the 3 and bigger...

With Soft, Good to Soft in places now looking the most likely, surely Gordon will send EA here

exchanges very much tell the story now, not that it was in any real doubt with the predicted weather forecast anyway

Is it really cut an dry that EA goes here if Elliott turns up to walk the course in the morning after 5mm tonight and it’s soft with rain in the forecast for Monday?

Gordon's a big aul lad, once he doesn't sink like quicksand tomorrow morning Envoi Allen goes here :highly_amused:

Nothing in racing is cut and dry, but it's hard to see how there is anywhere near enough rain forecast to turn the ground into a bog required (if you believe him) to not only switch EA to the Supreme but more importantly in my opinion leave Abacadabras at home having specifically laid him out for the race, despite him performing on soft ground throughout the winter.

This 5 mm referred to isn’t exactly a monsoon with the forecasts I see referring it to as showers/light rain, with the sun expected to be back out in the morning I’d be amazed if that changes anything
