Arkle 2020

The weights would put them close though Scooby.
Fanion effectively won a handicap off 130, getting 12lbs from Southfield.
Brewin gave Southfield 6lb.

He received his 4YO allowance which I keep hearing they deserve to get, and it will level out as they strengthen up.

Regardless of any of that, he had an absoute ton in hand. I'd be backing him all day long in a 2 mile race against brewinupastorm. No contest imo.

Hope they meet soon enough, could well do next time.

Well I don't think Tornado Flyer is what you'd call a 'flashy sort' :highly_amused:

Went from in trouble to in control very quickly

Not sure what to make of it, but I’m not thrilled that’s for sure

Have to think he'd be better up in trip?

Out paced then stayed on much better?

Gordon could have ridden Brewin on the same terms and won too.

It's a pointless debate, hed never have won like that. Hes a different type of horse,

Anyway. They could meet next time out, and I know where my money will be going.

I agree Kev. Never struck me a 2 miler but obviously Willie knows best. You'd have to think he'd get too far back in an Arkle

I'd be surprised if Willie wouldn't favour further now for him.

I reckon Danny Mullins will be on wherever he goes. Townend has Melon or Laurina he'd probably end up on regardless.

I don't think Paul gets the choice as much as Ruby did anyway, so the knock on effect of horses for Mullins may not be as important as it used to be?

If Breaken has learnt to settle think he can certainly shake up this market, by the time they jump the first couple you'll know whether hes a bet or not for this race as last time out he just threw the race away pulling way too hard. Dunvegan no slouch in the race either so it will be a nice performance first time up.

I hope he does. I really like him. Have him in a free bet for the Arkle and also 'any race'.

Was moments away from backing Breaken in running then.

Defintiely of interest for this race now....

What did people think of that?

Not sure what to make of that, jumped well all the way bar that horror fall :/ Was he starting to tire? Dunvegan looked good anyhow

Was dunvegan starting to peg him back? :/ Im honestly not sure about the whole race, think Breakens running style makes it look like he demolishes fields but then LTO he emptied super quick. Cant decide whether he would have won that race or finished legless...
