Arkle 2019

20 points, crikey! :)

4 pts gone for me as it wasn't with 365

Thanks though archie.

20.6pts back :highly_amused: Had him with Annamix @ 16's in a couple of Trixies which accounted for very slight profit.

Anyone heard any news regarding Draconian? My mate over in Ireland has just messaged out WhatsApp group to say hes out for season. Not seen anything on Twitter as yet. Hope only rumours as I have backed him any race.

Update, Sorry just read it further back that someone else has posted!! :grumpy:

Lesson learnt, don't use Hills.

Always a tricky decision imo. If your horse gets there fit and well you are glad you took the bigger price.

Yeah definitely.

You have to take each bet on its merit.

What if this news came out at 2pm today, I'd have been at work so the shorter price and no chance to cash out as I wouldn;t have seen....

Swings and roundabouts :) Long season.... I am certain this won't be the worse news I have haha

As much as it sucks i'd far rather know now and have him out for the season than the week before which is always fr more brutal

The question for me now is which horse will be the main Mullins representative: Getabird, Cilaos Emery, Voix Du Reve (hope not), Bapaume or something else?

Does the stable tour from today give much away ? Does anyone have the link ? I can only find the one back early October

Was thinking earlier today seems a decent way into the season without our first high profile Cheltenham ending injury. Didn't say anything through fear of tempting fate, appears just thinking it was enough. Not too bad for me, lost some free bets (still annoying) and cashed out a mammoth 5 quid in multiples.

Agree with Charlie this far out so much easier to accept, last couple of weeks before this year's Festival were brutal. I actually lost 25% of my total outlay before the Supreme this year but still ended with close to 100% profit by the end of the Festival (closer to 150% if removing the free bets from the total outlay). So just got to roll with the punches as best you can.

'Rolled with a punch' - one of David Brent's best lines :highly_amused:

Haha...I'm full of them! On a serious note I've invested far too much early season money not at Bet365. Not sure when we knew they were doing cash out again but made some dodgy decisions like a few points on Annamix with Ladbrokes to get an extra couple of points with the price boost...not a good decision

Me too. Treated is as lesson learned. Plenty of bets to be had between now and then with B365.

I don't think you should worry about it... being able to react to a horse being injured is more timing and luck than anything isn't it?

USually they're best price to be fair but if it's a big difference I wouldn't go to 365
