Arkle 2019

Pretty sure Simonsig only had two runs over fences before winning the Arkle, so it can be done!

Id guess 3 runs is probably the average overall for recent winners? So not sure it would be a big issue if they've had plenty of schooling. If anyone can do it, you'd have to fancy Willie!

The mighty Western Warhorse only had 1 run over fences before going on to Arkle glory!!!!!!!

You've spelt 'that bastard Western Warhorse' wrong billy! Still gives me nightmares.... Champagne Fever was massive for me that day / year :(

I think with number of runs, it would be a problem if they'd wanted more but he'd had a set back and couldn't get him out...

It is like Penhill or Quevega, it wasn't a negative for them, because it was by design last time (and the last few times for Quevega)... was it ideal first time around? No.... but still worked.

So again, absolutely no issue for me :)

Been posted somewhere else that Draconien is out for the season.

Talking Horses. I've asked for the source.

End of RP article about Samcro going to Newcastle.

"We had been looking forward to starting Draconien off over fences but, unfortunately, he has met with a setback and will miss the campaign," Mullins said of the five-year-old who is owned by Clipper Logistics Group.

Cashed out 20pts worth of bets including multi's for small profit. Can have another go, so thanks for the information, saves some decent amount :)

20 points, crikey! :)

4 pts gone for me as it wasn't with 365

Thanks though archie.

Bugger. Also lost a few points there as was greedy and took the bigger price with Hills.

Well in fairness I backed him originally any race thinking he'd end up in the County or Champion so I deserve to be punished :highly_amused:
