You have a doubt about Saint Calvados on soft ground?

You'll have to elaborate for me .... he looks PROVEN to be an above average novice chaser on it to me

If it turns out to be soft (even heavy in places), SC is the 1 I fear most without a doubt, in my opinion totally proven on soft. PM blue now on exchanges, anyway I think this is the race of the festival

Saint calvados goes through soft ground very well and I have no doubt he'll run a decent race , probably to a mark of 155 to 160..What I'm saying is he would be better on better ground, a theory that most of the stable hold too, all but the trainer himself. It's a trait with these prodgeny that crops up more often than not. If he places in this then he could be truly exceptional on normal festival ground, don't get hung up too much on his knee action, it's what his trainers thoughts are based on...

5 horses running in the Arkle, that is poor!

Saint Calvados at 100/1 not looking bad in this field now :highly_amused:

Odds on to fall :(

Win, lose, or draw, that is the best ante post bet placed on this forum this year imo

Irrespective, think this is by far the best value tip this year on the forum so take a bow. I recall turning my nose up at 66s as 100s had gone. Delighted though I bit the bullet and joined the party at 8s
