Latest exhibition - 99 percent sure runs in Al bartlett.
racing t.v today - paul nolan.

I know a lot of us are slightly biased by our 66/1 vouchers, but if I hadnt backed LE, I certainly would do as he's still a terrific price to my eyes.

Abacadabras, Andy Dufresne, Cobblers Way, Sempo. His form just looks rock solid.

I'll be adding Cobblers to my bets soon. Think he shaped as if a proper 3miles will suit him lovely.

I'm actually tempted to go in again!

Yeah I've said this a few times recently, couldn't really believe his price still in the Albert Bartlett when I was doing the Jan FJ yankee selections. I'm actually tempted to add him again desptite 66/1 and 33/1 :stupid:

Logic will stop me, but if I wasn't on I definitely would be getting involved.

Yeah 20/1 does look alright actually doesn't it.

Whilst a lot of evidence has been around experience in this race over recent years, it’s worth noting last years result, Ireland’s potential domination + Hendo in the novice hurdle depts + a recent run:

1) Minella Indo, Ire, 3rd run, last ran mid Feb
2) COF, Ire, 4th run, last ran DRF
3) Allaho, Ire, 2nd run, beat Minella mid Feb
4) Dickie Diver, Hendo, 3rd run, mid-late Feb

I’m inclined to think the winner of this will be seen out in the next few weeks, probably from Ire & not as experienced as some may think / feel they need to be.

My personal fancy for this is Lord Royal as I thought he was brilliant fto when the stables runners need a run in a very good time vs the rest of the card that day. Hoping he bursts onto the scene either at the DRF or in the G3 3m at Clonmel where last years 1/3 finished. I’ve backed my opinion accordingly at 25s & a bit at 33s anyrace with Hills before debut

Pleased to see Lord Royal with the entry at Clonmel :encouragement:

I want him in the Ballymore :sorrow:

Looks to be treading the Allaho path Kev so with a bit of luck he’ll be in next years Marsh if that project pans out as hoped!

Think he’s Willie potato horse I’m afraid - I’m on any race & think he’ll show up well in both either way...

Francine entered in a race on Sunday with a pencilfulloflead. Form line with the Latter with Asterion Frolonge. Francine having it being 3rd in last race with a few others people fancy for other races, 1st Cobblers Way, 2nd Sempo, and 4th The Big Getaway.

(Putting this in the 3 Novice races for anyone interested)

Francin no e :)

I reckon Willie will be laying Francin out for the Coral Cup. Joe Chambers throughout 2017 & 2018 was talking Francin up alongside Min and Douvan so they clearly think he has plenty of ability.

Thought it might be worth pointing out that WPM has entered Lord Royal in the 3 miler at Clonmel on Thursday. This is the race that Allaho won last year. Lord Royal trotted up by many, many miles at the same track the last day. Now stepped up to 3 miles and entered in the trainers favoured prep race for the Albert Bartlett. I think he was their main hope until Monkfish came along.
He's around the 16/1 mark for the AB - 10's with PP - but Skybet are a standout 16/1 NRNB for those who like the look of his last run. A similar performance should he rock up on Thursday, would probably see him half in price.

Just backed that now,
didn't spot them pushing it out a couple yesterday, so cheers.

:encouragement: Good spot.

He was visually very good, I'd taken a punt on the Ballymore with his lack of experience however, going for the same race Allaho did is enough to lure me in.

....SkyBet now go 12-1.

I like this horse and think he is definitely one for the future
However,a very inexperienced 5 year old might struggle in what looks to be an above average Albert Bartlett
Certainly couldn’t compare his form or experience to Thyme Hill or Latest Exhibition

I happen to agree Liam.

If he comes out and wins it then fair play, just hope, if he is entered in the Bartlett, that it doesn't ruin him, as I think he is a horse with a fair amount of potential.

If racing is off again this Thursday would he travel over still? He really impressed me lto

Well you'd think the lack of runs means they'd feel the same way about Lord Royal as they do The Big Getaway....

The betting tells a different story though!

Missing a prep run isn't ideal regardless of where he goes!
