Yes cheers for posting charlie. Seems a no brainer at 66/1 with the cashout.

Thatsy is a decent enough yardstick and he beat him well. And ran very well over 2m for a horse they think is a stayer (bred to be).
 
Must admit the more I look at this one, the more I like him.

By Oscar out a Supreme Leader (2 sires with plenty of Festival winners) mare who ran a respectable 6th and 7th at the Punchestown and Cheltenham festivals and was a Grade 3 winning chaser.

He finished a very respectable 2nd on debut beating Fiddlerontheroof who has franked the form in no uncertain terms. Then wins easily enough on his next two runs including beating Thatsy who has since franked the form. I thought his run at Navan was excellent where he was just done for toe by a very good horse.

If this race is the plan, 66/1 appears an absolutely huge price.

Latest Exhibition’s dam was beaten in a photo for 2nd behind Quevega in the Mares Hurdle at the Festival.
 
Agree with everyone and I've followed suit on Latest Exhibition good case put forward and a great price.

Me too. It's a clear plan from trainer, and 2 mile runs dont reveal his ability to stay. Stepping up to 2M4F next time out.

Would we be certain he heads for the potato race ?
Taking on Abcracadabra over 2m last time would be a concern unless options were limited...

Trainer says he needs further and Bartlett is the target.

I suppose we cant be positive Ista, but he said the plan was to not run him over 3m until the AB, to keep him nice and fresh for the race, which wouldn't be unusual. Step him up to 2m4f at either Navan or Naas next time, although he did suggest that if he didnt run that well there they could re-evaluate. I suppose he could be taking on the likes of Andy Dufresne next time too.

I personally think if / when he gets beat at the top level over 2 1/2 he'll get nicely handicapped for the Martin pipe.
For me, he Would be a live outsider, and the strong pace they go in the handicaps, compared to the novices races, would suit him well

Agreed, i've only part read this forum plunge, but i thought it was for a handicap anyway :very_drunk:

He could easily end up in the M Pipe or another handicap.
Will depend on how he progresses, and jockey availability. The smaller yards often struggle for jockey's on good ones in the amatuer/conditional races.

But at 66-1, based on form already at a trip that appears too short on breeding, and the trainer openly saying it's his goal is worth a punt of anyone's money.
And not sure on Rachel's riding arrangements but if they can keep her onside then thats a plus too.

Unfortunately I can't get the 66/1 but even if target is uncertain that's a price worth nibbling at so don't blame you for playing...
