With no UK racing until Wednesday earliest, I'm pondering the best use of the time as a couple of Irish cards won't keep me busy/happy...

Option A) I could take a complete break? :highly_amused:

Option B) Start Saturday morning on the Supreme and finish Sunday night with the Martin Pipe looking at my position in every single race and whittling it down to the ones I actually fancy.

Option C) Put some proper work into the handicaps

Option D) Open to suggestions...

E) Play the placepot at all Irish races as suggested by Mayo as the prize pot will grow a lot

B for a start, then probably watch last years fest again.

I’m off to Australia on Saturday for 3 weeks so put a load of ante post bets on before I went just incase I missed a load of value bets but now risk losing a small fortune if the Festival is cancelled. I hope normal service has resumed by the time I return but it’s not looking good.

Have a great time, I went for 6 weeks just over a year ago now, was amazing!

Thanks CoD, we’re visiting family but travelling with our young kids so dreading the flight but looking forward to seeing some sunshine. I hope the flu outbreak isn’t as bad as we fear as we get just enough rain so that conditions are good to soft come March 12th!!!!

Option E) spend every waking second in a hightened state of anxiety worrying about the best week of your year potentially being called off, snapping at the wife and kids cursing horse flu yet all the while ploughing more and more money into your pp account and putting more and more ante post bets on thinking you’ve found a gem in the big handicaps.

Going to keep up my owner/trainer analysis research and spend valuable time with my very old and unwell Labrador

E/ Go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint and wait for all of this to blow over.

Was half expecting you to say you was going to do some 'actual work' with the downtime in racing ;)

Sorry to hear about your Lab mate.

So are 350 others now!
I have a son who lives on the Gold Coast, if you’re heading east a few days in Surfers will be fun as would the Sunshine coast.
Enjoy !

F) Launch an online petiton to make all Cheltenham Festival betting NRNB from 1 February. :devilish:

Can't see how you can lose a fortune mate. In the unlikely event of this not being a massive over reaction and the festival being cancelled, your bets will be void. Any multiples containing Cheltenham runners will be settled as if your selection was a non runner. The pain is where you have really good eachway doubles for example, where the remaining leg has shortened over recent weeks.

Decide to take the Mrs at for a couple of nights. Sweeten her up before I get into full Cheltenham mode

Furiously refreshing the page. Waiting for the slightest movement by 2 bookmakers, On the horses of 2 Irish trainers.
