Albert Bartlett 2020

Fantastic performance from LE... still 33/1 with PP for this. Have taken that

Definite the performance of a stayer that. after the mistake and all

What a result. The further this horse goes the better. B365 go 16/1 from 66 yesterday and 40 this morning.

Thanks for highlighting Charlie. Plenty on here are on a decent bet at 66/1thanks to you. :encouragement:

Good stuff Charlie, I had some 66s as well. Lets hope the AB is still the plan as we are well ahead here.

I'm a big fan of Paul Nolan and am really looking forward to seeing Latest Exhibition in the Navan Novice Hurdle on Sunday. I suspect the chief Mullins and Elliott runners will command most of the attention, but he's a smart prospect tried over inadequate trips so far. They have been clear the Albert Barlett is their long term plan and he is completely undiscovered in the market at 66/1. I am not expecting him to win on Sunday, but I am expecting a decent run.

We were supposed to see him last year in the bumper but he was forced to miss Cheltenham due to a foot infection and was subsequently off for the season. Their plan is to see how it goes Sunday and then he could go to the grade 1 at Naas in February.

The Nolan's were very open about saying he was tried over too short a trip and too soon vs Abacadabras where he ran a credible race in second. On debut he beat Thatsy who subsequently won since. His jumping is excellent and I don't see the Nolan's throwing him into a race vs the likes of Andy Dufresne and Elixir D'ainay without thinking he could be quite smart and the step up will suit. They have said their plan is to gradually step him up before trying him over 3m for the first time in the Albert Bartlett. I hope Rachel Blackmore keeps riding him.

Grateful to you Charlie for putting this up , I managed to get on @ 66-1 last week . for the A.B only .
Didn't see the race today . but sounds like L.E easily went beyond expectations :encouragement:

Yes thank you Charlie, was trying to look back to see who to thank, few 66s dockets and took 50s again yesterday incase a performance today, that exceeded my highest expectations! Well pleased.

Looks the best of the irish.
Should have topped up on the 66's earlier in the week.
However, he might have just beaten a 2 miler or one that's not that good, or both.

Should I be worried I dont have it covered any race? Im grateful for having it here, but just that feeling in back of my mind!

20/1 on the exchanges looks a cracking bet still, no excuses for the fav there, hes to outstayed him conclusively.

Glad lots were on! Let’s hope he comes out the race well and it’s all systems go AB.

I wouldnt go overboard, andy dufresne is unlikely to be a world beater. But the winner has done it well. Far bigger tests ahead. But a nice one to have.

"We’ll make a plan*for him now with the aim being Cheltenham. The Albert Bartlett could be the long term*aim. It’s great for myself and Brian. He’s a multiple Grade One winning rider but we all need ammunition." Paul Nolan - Latest Exhibition.

Yep, he's pretty much ruled out Naas in January, and namechecked the 2m 6f at Dublin festival then bartlett pretty much.

Suggested a 2m 6 at Leopardstown then on to Cheltenham, When asked about 3m he said Absolutely why not?

The natural race for Latest Exhibition now he has won a Grade 2, and is pointing at the Albert Bartlett, is the 2M6F Grade 1 Novice at the Dublin Racing Festival at the end of Jan/early Feb. Good timing with 6 or 7 weeks from today to the race, then 6 weeks to the Bartlett.

I was in a two-horse dilemma watching today with antepost Andy Dufresne at 25/1 for the Ballymore and 66/1 Latest Exhibition for the Bartlett. What result would keep my two bets looking solid? in the end one stood the test and the other didn’t, which is going to happen a lot in the graded races from here to March,

Gordon didn’t think AD ran his race given his other horse was catching up in 3rd at the line. He may have underperformed for a reason, but I have cashed out the AD Ballymore bets that I can, and the rest can roll on in the hope he recovers form.

I was impressed by Latest Exhibition, and managed to price boost him at 80/1 (new offer by Unibet) to add to my 66/1 slip, so more than happy with the winner, and the plan for the season.

Yeah Charlie thanks for the reminder. Backed him a couple days ago @ 66/1 and yesterday @ 6/1 for today. Just watched the replay a few minutes ago and he outstayed and outbattled AD. Interesting run in 3rd by Conflated beaten just under 7l. Not really put into the race but appeared to have closed up 2 to 3l on first 2 from the 2nd last to the line - and they were fighting out a finish. Maybe AB or maybe Martin Pipe!
