2026 Novice Hurdlers

Mydaddypaddy straight to Supreme

Not convinced Baco is one of willies best myself as it’s almost like we’re chasing it a bit.
However a good double opportunity tomorrow as related form of his maiden is running in the first

I know they both fell but I was really impressed with both El Cairos and Talk the Talk in the last two days. They were both clearly coming to win their races. They look to be the best I've seen from the Emerald Isle and that is normally good enough to win the Supreme. Talk the Talk is still 14/1. If he was trained by Mullins he would be 4/1. He looked very strong today at the business end of the G1. Definitely would have won. And this of course might suggest Skeltons Kadastral is a very good horse but Skelton has suggested he will be held back for Aintree "I don't think you'll see him at Cheltenham – he's more likely to wait and go to Aintree. That's not because he's not Cheltenham standard – I feel he is – but he's a tall and narrow horse, and the right thing to do is to tread carefully as a novice hurdler." I'm going in on both El Cairos and Talk the Talk to get my Festival off to a positive start.

I really liked the look of el cairos too.

Im just finding it hard to guage the novice hurdle form atm with willies running like drains first time up.

Im lucky that the only novice i have backed was doctor du mesnil.

A lot of bubbles have been burst.

No one could have thought the Xmas period was going to play out like this thats for sure, look at the top 6 or so in the Supreme market :ROFLMAO:

I wouldn't be too reactive to it just yet though with the 'new' market.

It's clear as day Willies aren't right. Maybe the virus rumour was true after all

And its long odds on he will get them right for the DRF where 1 or 2 are certain to shake up the market.

I was actually half tempted to go back in on a couple that ran with promise at probably bigger odds than they should be but holding off for now.

Supreme fav that's fallen on debut just sums up this season........ CRAZY

I'm with Darlo. Willie's will step up massively from this weekend to the DRF and normal practice will be resumed.

….W Mullins;

Mighty Park -
A lovely looking Walk In The Park horse who does everything right at home. He’s a fine, big chasing type. We discussed whether to keep him for a bumper but it was decided to go hurdling.

I think he’d have been good enough to win most bumpers and he’s a real exciting sort making his first start for us.

I do know this, if Mossy Fen Road was trained in Ireland, with the way he won today, he'd be close to,if not, fav for the Supreme, I'm not big on the Race IQ bollocks myself, but I know when ones gone too fast, or too slow, he went too fast yet not only maintained it, he still finished his race with the tank more than half full, also he met everything on a stride and landed running everytime, was a serious performance regardless of what he beat.

Going to have be a massive step up to get anywhere near the Chepstow winner today let alone OPS and EC.

Not saying it won’t happen but I’m struggling to see it.
He was massively impressive wasn't he. Definitely in my list
