2026 Novice Hurdlers

Backing my first Mullins novice today

Le Divin Enfant

I tend to ignore most of the hype and early prices until the Christmas run. As I tend to think Willie normally ends up with 2-3 really good novices, and the rest are just hype - some turned over yesterday.

I think Skylight Hustle is the danger here, but see him as a Turners horse so have taken the 50's about him for March just in case he goes well here.

I'm not a huge fan of Love Me Tender.

Willie normally sends one of his more experience types here, so I'm being a tad cautious, but Le Divin is now at a very backable price - probably down to some of Willie short priced maidens getting beaten yesterday. Townend booked, I'm quietly (and weirdly) confident

Out of interest who is quoting Skylight for the Turners (can’t find any?)

Nice run from Mossy fen Road at Chepstow, went some lick early, got in a early breather than picked it up again for at least a mile, then quickened again at the finish, all under a penalty, not a performance I was expecting to see if I'm honest, be nice to see him up in grade nto.

Looks like it’s lost a leg. Will go off 4th fav.

Yeah, Mullins might not be winning the Supreme this season.

Say what you like about these irish novice hurdles, but they're very eventful at the moment.

His hurdling is brilliant for a novice.
