Sortudo
5g Authorized - Sainte Des Bordes
Michael Feeley
12271
RPR 133b OR -

This chap will want a trip and he's one for staying novice hurdles, so he might be an Albert Bartlett type. He's done well over the summer and is working away. We'll find a suitable maiden hurdle for him.

Problem with syndicate owned horses, you never know if its homework related, or that 1 person tells another they have a hair of a horse, then that person tells a friend their mate owns a share of a nice horse, then that person tells someone their friend owns a wonderhorse..and so on, those odd little punts start adding up.
I think it's part of the territory for syndicate owned horses. , got a couple of owners group shares myself , your horse is running and to start with you have 3000 people laying their money down , before the general public have even looked at the card ...

I have him backed for the Supreme & Bartlett, can’t have him for the Turners his turn of pace isn’t up to what I want in the race with how it’s usually run.

A lot will depend on how quickly he jumps and how he settles on Sunday. I like him and I like the formlines.

Somewhere in the depths of FJ @JackieMoon33 just exploded :ROFLMAO:

The end to end gallop they always go the Supreme can suit a galloping type like him.

I think Willoughby Court was the last horse to win the Turners from the front, it’s usually won by something coming off the pace.

As I said his jumping will be the most important factor in his trip going forward.

Ouch!! Scary stuff.

I have been chastised a few times for saying that.......
This reference to @JackieMoon33 has gone straight over my head lads, what have I missed?

I’m guessing it’s to do with Authorized’s over the minimum trip 👀

He says a horse cannot possibly be a turners/bartlett horse

supreme/turners yeah, but not mid trip - 3m

the fact you went for the ol' 2m OR 3m...

He's guna pull his hair out :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I think Jackie would be ok with your logic on this one, he strongly believes in needing the turn of foot for the turners.
I can kind of see it also, except it is doubtful any trainer would come out and say similar (about being suited for supreme or bartlett).

There have obviously been some winners of the ballymore that did not really have a turn of foot also. Especially in the 2000's
Ballyburn pretty much ground it out from the front also. He's probably one paced enough, just got a really good cruising pace.

I think like Jackie, in most years you generally just need a touch of class, which means a very high cruising speed and ability to go up a gear, as the turners is often not as strongly run as the supreme, and so essentially you can't afford to be one dimensional like most staying types, or a speedy type with no heart/backbone.

What that Sortudo would suit the Supreme or Bartlett but not the turners ???
Think you've misunderstood (i've edited to make it clearer (y) )

- didn't think i'd need to, as we've heard many trainers and jockeys talk chapter and verse about the way the supreme and turners differ and what is generally required to be best suited to the way they are often run)

I’d expect it from you two classroom clowns, I’m a bit surprised to be put in front of the class for a sensible opinion.
I never said it wasn't a sensible opinion. I have never once called out anyone's opinions in the history of my posts. We all have them. I followed you in on Theflyingking because you made a very good case for it. Looks like a dead bet now but it is what it is.

ne mind. Just having the craic.

It’s nothing personal at all @Yosser

I don’t think Theflyingking bets are dead just yet FYI, an entry for the G2 at Limerick would resurrect the readies, he lost nothing in defeat to I’ll Sort That who I’ve backed for the turners @ 50/1

Aye, i can't get out of my bet so i am going all the way with it. The 2m entry was a funny one, especially a week or so after his first run. Hopefully goes up to the mid trip after Christmas and then onto the Bartlett. I don't think we want him running this side of Christmas do we? The Martin Pipe would start to look appealing then if he did.
