2026 Novice Hurdlers

Fou De Toi (Paul) is a nice acquisition from France, where he finished third in a decent hurdle at Auteuil. He has been catching the eye on the gallops and we are looking forward to seeing how he gets on. Hopefully, he will get off the mark over hurdles today before going on to better things - mullins comments

Also tipped up on upping the ante this week for the turners. Can’t remember if it was JD or DJ….either way, usual kiss of death.

I definitely think the Irish National horses he will have, may end up with one or two main players being held back for that race.

He did that with Run Wild Fred, a few years ago.

Lots of us thought he was the Kim Muir horse that year, and he was strong Fav for it, as soon as the GB capper gave him a figure he could run in it with.

But Gordon let him miss Cheltenham, even though he was well weighted for any hcap, and he didnt run from the Thyestes at the end of January until the Irish National - where he was beaten a length in it, and pocketed more than a Kim Muir win would've paid.

I think given the value of the Irish National and the fact that the weights for it usually come after Cheltenham (so weights can rise if they run well/win there) - then he may save one or two for it.

Do you think Oldschool Outlaw might give it a miss for the big Fairyhouse Mares Hurdle ? Prize money must be good for that as well..

She would run in both races, you'd think, given the 3+ week gap.

I mentioned the Irish National specifically as its a long-distance race, and backing up from a Cheltenham long-distance race to that one, with far more prize-money in the Irish National - may mean he saves one or two for that (not all his Irish National runners though) - just one or two maybe, that he feels are well handicapped with big chances.

He's as likely to go Cheltenham-Fairyhouse in the other races, as he normally does (and Cheltenham-Aintree too with a 1 week longer gap).

Oldschool Outlaw 9/2 (NRNB) in Hills Price Boost section . As one who missed the price after the race i was delighted to get on that.

Just seen something like n 'X' about JP buying Talk The Talk. Nothing official but it would be an intriguing move and one that wouldn't surprise given his lack of Supreme runner

Where's it been mentioned? I heard somewhere he was for sale perhaps Irish racing YouTube channel?

I've heard nothing about jp though. You would of thought jp would be interested though.
