2026 National Hunt Nov H’cap Chase

Paul Townend rumour went well.

I probably should've replied at the time. But he didn't even ride for Mullins is most the handicap chases. Picking up any outside rides seems unlikely.

In a preview night documented by Gault Stats, David Casey said PT was approached for the ride but turned it down

Anyone fancy a 50/1 winner in the NH Chase? Cheltenham form, and multiple winners from the race. Stands up to scrutiny. Take a look at Holokea. I’m pretty sure he’ll get in too. Trainer in tip top form and James Bowen will ride. Look at his mark compared to The Jukebox Kid for example, after beating him fair and square. Only beaten by Zerakt because he idled. The 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th all winners since. He’s absolutely thrown in. And the race is one if the worst renewals I remember. Bckmersackme the favourite won a similar race at HQ in October off 124. Now 135. They had similar RPR’s for those two races. He’s 4/1 and Holokea is 50/1 carrying 7lb less.

….i like the trainer, did me a nice turn in Aintree Foxhunters some years ago.

Interesting @DonnyBoy went to a Preview evening and Bowen talked positively of his bumper horse, Nimba and a MP entry Ballykinlar. Not sure if he also mentioned Holkea.

he's not been mentioned by elliott.
he's also one of many entries for gordon in the leinster national this sunday

Noticed that Sean Bowen already 'jocked up' on Wade Out in Racing Post Race card.

They auto fill them with stable jockeys most of the time.
But expect he's riding anyhow.
Even if they offered him the ride on the FAV.

….Brave Fortune seems popular.

WADE OUT (National Hunt Challenge Cup Novices’ Handicap Chase)

“He has been trained for this race ever since November. He will be fitted with some cheekpieces and the drying ground should help with his jumping.

“If he can go around in a half respectable manner and be in touch at the top of the hill I don’t think you will see a horse come home stronger all week.

“Although Windsor wasn’t his ideal track last time out, running there will have done him good as that would have sharpened him up.”

Who was it who said they had a part share in KOA, does not seem that popular? Still confident?

I've backed Wade Out here

I know he travelled like a crab when last seen at Cheltenham, but I dont buy that this horse has all of a sudden become so workman-like

I think he's a Grade 1 horse running in a weak handicap. Trainer is in search of a Festival winner. I like the owners, they buy some nice types. This has been the plan for some time

Its either... the horse hates Cheltenham )as he was poor last year there in the race with Sixmilebridge and Potters_ or he doesnt get out of soft ground

Cheek pieces fitted.

Bowen's could be in for a right work out if the horse doesnt sharpen up
