2026 Juveniles

Took a view that if MM couldn't go past today he won't be going past at Cheltenham, so cashed my bet out on him for no loss which was nice!

Impossible to know how revved they were, but you'd like to think Willie will have been doing a similar set of prep for the 2 of them

I couldn't see how that form would ever be reversed, this season anyway.

Yep, Narciso looks to be worthy fav but he wasn't that special first time up so all to play for.
Looking a decent bunch this season.
Maybe Mange Tout is simply better?
She’s the one that I’ve been most impressed with so far.
Need to see her again though ideally.

Would not rule many out.
There’s some at 20/1 plus that have looked good imo.

He was never really as fluent as Proactif.

Must admit, I know Proactif done the donkey work, so to speak, but I expected the pair of them to pull well clear of the 3rd, which they didn't/

Narciso smashed that one at Leopardstown over Christmas.
Aye looked a little keen as well MM, Proactif settled nicely and jumped well.

As others have said Narcisco had had a run over here. Still beat the third 9+ lengths on his first start over here.

You'll see her at the DRF. (y)

Proactif looked to be going away at the end again, a stiffer track like Cheltenham will only suit one of them based on what we've just seen.

You'd hope, at this stage of the season Wilie would have them ready enough first time out.

Looked a much more finished display from Proactif. Travelled and hurdled well. Macho Man was markedly right at his hurdles throughout and looked clumsy at a few. Bit disappointing the pair never finished further clear of the rest but first runs this season so fair enough. Feel Proactif could be the one for this season out of the pair, but Macho Man the better one for the future, probably reflective of their owners (McManus all about the now, Donnellys all for the future).

Another spin around the back for in my teens?

Cut from 16s to 12s for that run is absolutely rancid bookmaking
People are probably backing it though, as every time it runs shite people get more and more interested and assume it's a master plot 🤣

Which it could well be, but even in that case when they do eventually try, she could still be shite, as part of the plot wouldn't have been to fall at the first on her second run.

Yeah I've had her in mind for handicaps since that first run but she won't even get in running like this. There's plotting, and there's being shit sadly

For the RPR fans amongst us -

Proactif 127 RPR for Wednesdays race - an improvement of 33lbs from debut
Macho Man 122 RPR for Wednesdays race - an improvement of 9lb from debut

Proactifs debut RPR has been upgraded from 94 to 98

Close to Narciso Has (131). Difficult choice for Walsh

Yepp good point

Proactif recorded a 127 on 2nd start (1st for Willie)
Narciso Has recorded a 126 on 2nd start (1st for Willie)

Proactif to surpass Narciso's mark on 2nd attempt?!

I do think he'll be seriously considered as main ride, and I'd say if Mange Tout floors him @ DRF, Mark will definitely jump ship. 8/1 still a fair price for Proactif

I'd say that's a given yes if NH gets done at DRF.

Probably a little bit overshadowed by Old Park Stars performance yesterday but I thought Winston Junior was very impressive and 8/1 is still a fair price for the Fred Winter

He is still a little keen but settled better yesterday

Two shrewd owners one of which landed a massive touch in this race previously

Not sure what sort of a mark he would get for that performance

Is 8/1 still fair?

Think its incredibly short in a race that many could unearth really big chances yet.

He sort of showed his hand yesterday so will be interesting to see the hcapper puts him up.
