2026 Gold Cup

If he had an alternate horse to ride that was looking a world beater, I'd get that it's a fair debate. But Gaelic just isn't that is he. On the day, you'd make Gaelic a what 4/1 shot, and Galopin maybe 6/1? I wouldn't switch up and risk missing out on history just to ride Gaelic at those odds.
Let’s just agree to differ and see what happens.

To add to my additional plonker based statement above..I just realised I had an old stub in shop for F2F at 12/1 along with my 50s for
Haiti Couleurs before xmas. If fact to file does get supplemented does my AP bet still stand right ?
I had a similar situation last year with inowhaturthinki . Had given up my bets when he was not entered the supplemented and won! Now in a similar situation with FTF !

Headgear worked for Majborough
I can't see what good it would do though? He doesn't idle, or lose focus, and isn't ungenuine. I think that would show desperation on their part and would put me off him

Maybe they are desperate?
His run yesterday was a lot different to this time last year.
I would have thought that would have put you off if anything.

As has been correctly said, the game's about opinions. Unfortunately for Gaelic Warrior supporters, Willie's opinion is that he's happy with where GDC is at this point in time. He started later this season so wouldn't be expected to be in the same place as at this time last year.

Still 5 weeks until they need to decide.

I’m a supporter of the sport and want the top races with as many of the top horses as is possible.
I think GW is one of the top 3 milers around so want him in the gold cup, as I do GDC.
I’ve never once said GDC will not win this year or that GW will, just giving my opinion based on what I’ve seen on the racetrack.
The politics of the yard I’ve got used to over a fair few years now.
I find it frustrating at times as a fan of the sport.

Appreciate your comments re starting later this season.
Makes sense and I hope he can still be a big gold cup player.

seems more than reasonable.
Given they think he bruised himself when jumping fourth last and was found to be lame.
They expect he'll be fine for March.
Won't go off anywhere near that price given he's a savills winner, and was second in a bartlett.

Jango not running Saturday

Straight to Gold Cup

Jango Baie straight here, did think they'd skip Newbury if it got testing.

There's an echo in here.

Can anyone enlighten me on what Patrick Mullins article in Racing Post today is saying under the headline " 'He picks up. We’ll win this. Fact To File won’t get home. We’ll get him'. Is he talking about riding Gaelic Warrior in the Irish Gold Cup last week or forecasting what he thinks will happen in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. I'm intrigued. Mainly because if the latter I am hoping it means he thinks Gaelic Warrior will be going Gold Cup and not Ryanair.
