2026 Champion Hurdle

Lossie hanging throughout, Paul on the one rein, ballooned 3 or 4, changing her legs like crazy,taking nothing away from the winner but Lossie didn't bring her A game today.

Biggest surprise for me, Anzadam wasn't off a yard there and looked very good for it.

That’s Anzadam finally done for me, gave him one last chance to convince me today
Not good enough
 
I cant see Willie and Townend leaving the champion hurdle to others.
If Paul works her prior to cheltenham and says she wasn't right today then they may have a go.

Wanted to see much more from him today

I know they said they'd hold him up, but sitting detached behind Poniros probably not the right play

Spot on. That wasn't her at her best. Looked like she absolutely hated the ground which surprised me.
 
What else has Willie got now for this race? Suspect we'll all still be waiting until 10am on the Sunday before Cheltenham to find out.

I'd personally hold fire on any Lossie bets myself until tomorrow at least, the hanging,jumping & leg changing, I'd just want to know that she hasn't tweeked something during the race that might need a few weeks on the easy list.
Trust me I'm looking at related bets myself but if I see any waves on BFE tomorrow morning, late afternoon I'll leave her alone till the day of race.
But thats just me being careful.
 
Going off results this season Mullins has nothing good enough for the champion hurdle bar Lossiemouth and those ahead of her in the market are a horse who has never ran to her best at Cheltenham, a horse who won a Turners with form that looks weaker and weaker, and a horse that’s lost all confidence jumping and might never run over hurdles again.

They would be mad not to run in the race and the 5/1 nrnb looks huge. Last year was bad enough but if they bottle it again this year it’d be an embarrassment to the sport.
