2026 Champion Hurdle

Looked good being left alone in front going his own pace, could be interesting next time if they put him into a better race as looked like Danny asked a question after the last just to see if he'd quicken, for me he didn't, just stayed on at the same pace, great to see him back though as he had a terrible time over fences last few seasons.
Like I say, better race nto and see how he gets on.

Like the Aintree Hurdle shout, has form there, intermediate trip, that'd interest me.

I agree. But I’d really like to see where he stands in the pecking order over 2m first. I can’t see any harm running him against Anzadam and Lossiemount in the Irish Champions Hurdle. Could be a good race with BDA too.

It would b an absolute desperate year if El Fab was to win a Champion Hurdle....

Agreed, only had the 3 hurdle starts for Mullins, whos to say he doesn't still have improvement to come in that sphere, could be another string to the spring festivals bow.

Mullins just saying on El Fab

"I think that trip looked fine, He could go back to two miles.

"I'm looking at a race like the Aintree Hurdle at this point in time, but the Irish Champion Hurdle and Red Mills Hurdle could be options as well."

He looked much slicker over his hurdles compared to his novice year too (bar two out). So every chance he’s improved. The engine still looks to be there.

Is Willie deliberately downplaying her ability, or does he genuinely not think Lossiemouth is up to scratch for a Champion Hurdle? He’s continuously implied she’s short of Champion Hurdle class and has done so again today. To me, it seems like he’s just waiting for something to happen which will allow him to direct her to the Mares.

They're fuming she might have to go to the champion hurdle 😂

There's no cop out this time about state man working better, they'd basically just have to say "we're scared of going for the champion hurdle because it's harder to win. We'd prefer to just win an easier race" 😂

They'd be over the moon if anzadam can beat her at th drf. Or even got within a length.

Did he say that ? Wow! Maybe I'll cash out my CH bet on her. Doesn't sound good at all. There's me thinking she'd have won the last two if entered !!

He could easily fix it for her to get beat easily next time. Odd that he didn't instruct PT to lose on Monday to BDA. Would have got his way then. What a dick he is.

Maybe a taggy each way Lossie/BDA mares/champion hurdle cross double is on the cards just to put them both to bed

Yep. I’ll be down hills tomorrow doing some nrnb doubles to cover some of my fancies possible alternative plans.
Is BDA better than woodhoh??

Dunno but each way will just take some of the heat off. I haven't done any roll ups yet, wodhooh etc but that will be getting started next week whilst I start going though the handicaps. Got 5 horses to back and my championship and novice books are done
