2026 Champion Hurdle

Wodhooh 9/10 over Hurdles. Only ever beaten by Lossiemouth. If Lossiemouth goes Mares Hurdle then wave goodbye to Wodhooh Mares Hurdle bets as she'll comfortably slip into the Champion Hurdle.

Dunno but each way will just take some of the heat off. I haven't done any roll ups yet, wodhooh etc but that will be getting started next week whilst I start going though the handicaps. Got 5 horses to back and my championship and novice books are done
I don't believe that your Championship and Novice books are done. Absolutely no chance.

Did he say that ? Wow! Maybe I'll cash out my CH bet on her. Doesn't sound good at all. There's me thinking she'd have won the last two if entered !!
Her performance wouldn’t have worried Nicky or Sir Gino - or words to that effect - was his comment today.

Ah ok. So not short of CH class then. Just playing with Nicky again. Those two are in Love. He's messing.

Yes. Willie’s continually downplayed her ability to win a champion hurdle over the last 18 months or so.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: why not? I will tell you what i need to add

Supreme - Talk The Talk & Davy Crockett - maybe Mossy Fen Road but only in a small roll up

Arkle - Irish Panther & Mambonumberfive

Ryanair - Djelo

Mares Chase - Diva Luna

Bartlett - Doctor Steinberg

I will do them on Saturday. No other horses i fear, there might be one or two that stake late claims.

I have about 6 others on watchlists, the likes of Sortudo, i will try and roll up when i know or think i know where he is headed. Mainly Bartlett types really that might not even go there or look like they are.

So just roll ups and handicaps.

Unibet have cut Constitution Hill this morning and is blue on Betfair also :unsure: I don't understand the exchanges, is it significant?

It would b an absolute desperate year if El Fab was to win a Champion Hurdle....
Well he was at one time thought of as the top 2m chaser.
Maybe he could be a top 2m hurdler?
I’m hoping his next race is against Lossiemouth in DRF, then can see for sure.
He’s entitled to come on for his run.
Hurdles fine and we know he has an engine.
Fascinating!!

El Fabiolos talent has never been in doubt it's always just been his jumping that has had a question mark.

I don't think it would be a horrific CH if he were to win, his engine alone has had him winning or involved in G1s despite multiple mistakes and when he puts it together e.g Novice at DRF he's beaten very good horses on merit

Ruby on rtc….. Pretty sure I heard him correctly saying that Lossiemouth will run in the race they think she’s best chance of winning?
Hope that’s not the case personally.

Not when there's little liquidity on them - they're very easy to manipulate at this stage of the year

Kabral du Mathan looks really classy but does not travel like a stayers hurdle horse.
I reckon if it wasn't for New Lion they'd be going for the champion.
He needs more, but looked to have plenty in hand again today.

edit - hope they consider this race as I've now got a free roll for four figures. was mad prices on betfair, but not now.
Unlikely I know.

…Kabral a general 25-1 for this.

Yeah - I'd say he's got an outsiders chance as he probably only ran to his mark today.
But seems obvious he has more in the tank and apart from one hurdle he jumped beautifully like a champion hurdler.
Reminds me of Oscar Whisky, and a little bit like Bob Olinger so he's not without a hope of being able to cruise in behind the proper stayers.
Just depends if he can then pick up.
But the jockey will have the best feel and can compare with New Lion.
I'd like to think Dan is smart enough to at least enter in both races.

Related multiple alert

Sir gino to stuff the new lion if they meet, by let's say 6 lengths +, with kabral - champion hurdle and new lion - stayers.

Only issue being if sir gino destroys the new lion by that distance your enthusiasm for kabral beating him dwindles, and jp has loads for the stayers 😂

Aintree Hurdle looks perfect for Kabral du Mathan. They don't all have to go to Cheltenham and it will serve Cheltenham right for diluting the festival with the knock-on effects on Champion Hurdle fields.

Could take both in

It's clear that Mullins does not want lossiemouth to go champion so why don't they just turn her up undercooked at down royal and get her beat ?
