2024 Novice Hurdlers

FYI all - one of the Willmount ownership group has replied to a tweet saying "he will not be going to the Supreme" and another that says "Cheltenham isn't the be all and end all" so worth noting if you've backed him.

Seen that he’s very open so he is. Anyone know much about the connections?

Definitely look the crowd you wouldn’t wanna be on the wrong foot with :biggrin-new:

How on earth is it a cert!?

He could so easily be more than capable over 2m and stay at the minimum.

Because his style is reminiscent of past winners with that turn of foot in a finish. It will be like IEP this season when he smokes the field late on. Ill look forward to look back on this post after the festival :smug:

It's a tricky one as his bumper debut was very laboured in comparison though. I'll be happy to take him on in the Ballymore that's for sure.

I'm on Ballyburn at 16s for the Ballymore, but dont like the horse at all :biggrin-new: Think I got a bit of FOMO before his win lto, but thought it was just an OK performance. I certainly think there will be at least 1 or 2 better than that lad come March.

Wish my FOMO bets were at that price! I usually dive in at short prices and then instantly regret it. :dejection:

You've got the price and that's all that counts imo.

I was just thinking the same ! :welcoming:

Where do we reckon Firefox will go? He put up some good performances last season in bumpers (beating Ile Atlantique amongst others). He also finished 4th on debut posting a decent RPR in a maiden hurdle. I think he could be above average.

365 cut Mirazur West to 14/1 for Supreme. Still a bit of 20s around but mainly 16s.

Don't worry Dave, he aint winning that race:watermelon:

Don't think ballyburn has anything like the cruising speed that IEP

Think he's going to end up being a stayer myself

Ballymore or bartlett this year then banc or nhc as a novice chaser

A dark one I really like for the Supreme is Jingko Blue. Won his PTP for Rob James in impressive fashion beating a very good horse, Jersey Des Brosses into second. He was awarded a rating of 95 for that effort.

He was sold to Jerry McGrath for Countrywide Park Homes Ltd (Bold Endeavour colours) for ?220k at the February Cheltenham sales and sent to Seven Barrows.

According to Sean Oakes on Twitter he is quite forward and jumping well which implies he will be sent straight over hurdles.

What impressed me about his PTP win was his speed, with Gordon, who purchased the second for ?370k, confirming he was a sharper horse than his lad.

By Great Pretender out of a Saint Des Saints mare, you’d expect him to have speed, although he’d know doubt stay further too.

Probably the Nicky PTP purchase I’m most looking forward to seeing.

Encouraging to hear fact to file stays hurdling. I shall be having a tickle on him for ballymore. And a related JP double with ADTS in supreme.
