No idea but if he does they must have missed sir gino !:welcoming: anyone on jeriko (me included) and jonbon would be hoping that's an excuse.
I wonder if a horse coming from France would have a different schedule for a jab than one housed in uk
Could Sir Gino of received a jab on or before entry to uk ?
I remember reading somewhere of a new ruling stating that they need 2 jabs a year now and cannot go more then 6 months between them

That could certainly explain the chalk and cheese nature of the performances. I think i remember seeing somewhere that paul nicholls jabs his horses in January so would have thought they'd all be a similar time to that.

I know nothing about the jabs horses receive but im curious as to why it would impact the horses performance? And if a jab does impact the horses performance shouldnt we as punters know about this? It might sound stupid, but if the jabs really do impact performance then last jabbed should be declared like a wind op :biggrin-new:

Dont think he does them all at the same time, paul nichols has been jabbing last week though. Last year jonbon had is jab around the silvianaco conti chase weekend (14th jan)

It was a disaster today from Jonbon but the mistakes he did he shouldn’t of got as close as he did, one things for sure is Nico is superior over a fence with the top ones over a Coleman or Bowen, clutching at straws if that the only hope for a turnaround for the qmcc though.

It was mainly that mistake that caused the performance.
You can’t have one without the other imo.
Its obvious that his jumping let him down yesterday and that’s normally his weapon.
Was it the change of jockey contributing to that?
I don’t know, but I would be more confident personally about him if Nico rides.
If he jumps as well as we know he can do, he still has a chance of winning.

It’s a double edged sword though. Because some horses are completely unaffected by it it could just as likely put you off a winner as it would save you from a loser.
I'm not sure that Jonbon would beat EF even with a good performance yesterday, however i'd be fairly confident that he will still place, so if the bookies could just push him out a little to a backable E/W price i'd be happy

Good to soft yesterday, basically shat the bed to take on Jonbon and will surely be reeling now as that may have been their chance to beat him and win a Grade 1.

Thats the second time Jonbon has jumped uncharacteristcally poorly at Cheltenham. Undeniable he loves a small field / flat track, but not sure Cheltenham is his bag. I doubted he'd get near EF pre weekend and that view hasn't changed tbh.
I wonder what the bookies will do to get Jonbon in their satchels
On the day of the race markets they can't push him to an each way price (3 places) and they also won't take any money on him at anything less, surely :rugby:
