2023 Novice Hurdlers

Oooof. Really liked what I saw there and you can presumably be sure about his target after going 3M on his second start. Be interested to see what he is cut into.

I've done a double on the 2 HdB winners today for small stakes as a related double
 
Got that very wrong on HL, he was very good, the way he hung right would be a little worry around Cheltenham however.

Absolutely. Powerful long striding finish there, especially as you say given how keen he was. Really liked that. Unless his jumping improves massively and/or he wins a G1 over 2m around Xmas, I think the Ballymore would be perfect for him. Plenty of stamina in the pedigree.

Moscow Flyer likely next race according to HDB.
 
Arctic Bresil was one of the horses I mentioned in the thread earlier this year on horses to follow. I was expecting him to go over further then and I still do although I think he's shown he could go over 2m or 2m4. I'm looking forward to seeing Present Soldier who beat him over 3 miles in a P2P, now with Gordon.

I was beginning to worry about the form of that race as the third and fourth can’t get their heads in front. A couple of the shrewder point to point judges had Arctic Bresil down as the best horse in that race despite finishing second, and he fetched the biggest price at the sales.

Very good performance and it seems like they’ll go the two mile route, although future results could change that. Looks like he’s got the tools for 2m but that division looks potentially very deep this season.

Wouldn't surprise me if Arctic Bresil ended up in the Ballymore JM if Facile Vega was impressive in his races this season over 2m.

”Arctic Bresil is by Blue Bresil & the same cross as Constitution Hill - both are out of Kings Theatre mares. Whether he is him or not I don’t know, we have a long way to go for that, but it’s nice to win a maiden hurdle. I don’t think we need to rush & there is the Grade 2 Moscow Flyer Hurdle at Punchestown in the middle of January & that might be the race for him.

Hiddenvalley Lake did it very nicely & Rachel was brilliant on him. I thought he was struggling turning in & then he picked up really well, I’d say he quickened after the 2nd last. You have to stay running around here & we’ll pencil in the Albert Bartlett. He could run in the Clonmel graded hurdle in February which Monalee won and Minella Indo finished 2nd to Allaho.”
 
Sounds very much like supreme for arctic.

with the Mouse horse running well in 3rd, you'd like to see Caldwell Potter over a hurdle.

They can’t all avoid FV other they may as well cancel the Supreme at this rate!
