2023 Arkle Novices Chase

They'll both be on or around 9/4 - 5/2 after decs, if both declared.
Same with the supreme, I reckon they could go as big as 9/2 the field.

Pointless unless you're there.
The feed is on a 5 sec delay and there's a 5 sec delay in processing your bet, 10+ seconds after he looked in trouble and was 3/1 the leader blundered and Jonbon would have been into favourite again.
In running really is only an option if you're watching live, otherwise you have to accept that someone is way ahead of you...

You can do it off the betfair racing tv stream and using some quick software. Have to make split second decisions like but it can be done.

Yep. Could turn out a very good Tuesday for punters. Lots of bookie offers banging about. I'll be waiting for some nice Boosted odds doubles.

I’ve read all the posts to catch up. Well done to Aaron Lad for investing time and effort on bringing in a different dimension/perspective. It didn’t seem to grab much attention but I appreciated it.

I'm not sure I agree that some years you can't be too confident of the outcone in February

Of all the festival races, this is one over the years you can 'sew up'

Totally disagree here, and the view of kevloaf.

The Arkle is nearly always the race you can get ‘seen up’ fairly early on antepost.

Neariy always a small field & nearly always a short odds on favourite with 10lb in hand - a potential superstar in waiting.

That is the opposite of totally disagreeing with me?

7 odds on shots last 20 years

The Arkle a year out is, for me at least, the race I circle like no other to get my prices.

Jonbon this year was 18 months out. Just the way I play.

Yeah, "nearly always" is probably about 40-50% of the time.

The point generally being, there isn’t a race in the festival that gets close to providing odds on shots in small fields like an Arkle does.

Agree. Not been as open a race in many years...........

Apart from last year:unconscious:

I need to see horses released onto markets. Markets first, selections come along way 2nd.

As I’ve mentioned in the last month on a post here, in the last 4-5 years, Skybet have had in their ‘National Hunt’ requestabets horses available 18 months in advance selection. This year? Not a single horse, and it’s incredibly frustrating to hinder how I invest. Not a single horse is available.

I look at markets, then I look at horses. Then invest if I see exceptional value.

The markets ain’t there. And it’s f****** me right off.

That's a bit backwards no? You'd have certain horses in mind then see the markets to deem a bet or not on price surely . Doing it the other way around seems odd as your essentially saying you have no idea until a bookie prices it up irrelevant of price then.

Have to say this is the complete opposite of how I’ve been betting for about 20 years.
Prices can sway judgement, I find it far better to create my own markets/prices based on research then compare against actual prices.
Each to their own I guess…

Do we think there will be more runners than "usual" this year, or cut up? Reason I ask anyone any view on Final Orders? 20/1, what price would he be on the day?

Dysart all the rage today. Pricewise???
