Yeah for sure although he'd be well up against it VS the Americans, not sure who'd ride too being guineas weekend and all.

I'd imagine he will be up against it against all the Japanese and UAE horses too on Saturday

Though I think aidan won the race with mendelsson didn't he

But he had finished 2nd in the dewhurst and won the breeders cup juvenile turf

Yeah you're not wrong it's by no means a penalty kick any skinnier and I wouldn't have played but I think 3's is ok and although he hasn't shown the same level of form as Mendelsson had he is on an upward curve and comes with a big chance imo especially if they think the Kentucky Derby is the target he needs to finish in the first two to get in so they must have faith in a big run.

Yeah I just had to look back, jumped off Saxon Warrior to get stuffed 70+lengths in the KD :glee:. I got the time difference wrong as he did make it back to ride in the 1000 on the Sunday but can't see him not taking up rides on LBB or Rodin and being lagged for Meditate/Statuette. Regardless will see how Cairo gets on at the weekend :eagerness:

Quite enjoy the Dubai World Cup meeting. Going to have a look through that card today.
 
Few price cuts yesterday for Aiden's Alexandroupolis in the Derby 365 25/1 into 20/1, Powers as low as 12/1. Horse has raced once and powered up the hill at Galway to win, might be of interest to those with one eye on the flat.

My not too exciting picks for World Cup night. CZ Rocket in the Shaheen the only double figure price.

know naff all about the Japanese horses and they have the bookies running scared so getting nice e/w prices about proven international group 1 performers

8/1 about the impressive breeders cup turf winner is not the price I was expecting

And I can very much see nations pride being better as a 4yo than 3yo, he also didn't get the best of runs in the race rebels romance won

If he can get a handy position and they go a good gallop he will be staying the 1m1f strongly, I think he's best at 1m2f but if they go quick and its not a sprint finish hoping he runs a big race

The al quoz looks like one to back sight success as we know all the British 6f horses are useless so just back the best Australian. Is the fav really going to go from winning class 4 Novices at Wolverhampton to winning a group 1 as nice as it would be to see George bought plunder a huge pot off the sheikh

Also looking forward to seeing the return of subjectivist after his long abscence though i wont be backing him. Maybe al qareem, trawlerman and quickthorn dutched as they are all rated equal or higher to the fav but are 16/1+

No opinion on the dirt races

16 would seem a very high draw for Nations Pride. Assume that's seen him drift a bit. Rebel Romance widest of all as well but should be alright in a 10 runner over the trip

I'd like to see Lord North win the Turf again but don't really want to back him against the Japanese horses it at that sort of price. Reckon Gosdens got a decent one in the Sheema as well. But that also looked a bit too competitive for a bet. Might do a tiny each way double of Gosden's now I've written it though :welcoming:

Had big hopes for mostahdaf last season but he let me down

Excellent breeding by frankel out of a dubawi mare but he just didnt seem to go on

Not sure he stays 1m4f very strongly

He will probably win now iv given up on him and then il back him next time and he will lose haha

Real World. Twice 2nd to Baaeed. Course and Distance winner. Good draw. Highest rated on official handicapping and RPR's. Pipe opener at begining of this month when only 80/85% fit. Great Jockey booking.
 
Al Dasim has been improving at a rate of knots since racing in Dubai and the form has been working out well. Taking on his elders again tomorrow will be tough for a horse not turning 3 until next month but I fancy him to carry on with his progression… took 16s for the Commonwealth Cup too

I've also backed him for the Commonwealth Cup MS.
A good few months away yet from Royal Ascot and he's surely only going to get stronger and faster.
 
Aye, some performance that.

Fancy Algiers has run well being close enough to a quick pace from a wide draw. Winner has benefited from being held up imo. As were most that finished close behind.

A shite day for me though :biggrin-new:
