Lovely shout. Love the way she finishes her races. Never looked like the winner until the line basically :emmersed:

Shame about the two fallers of course. Haven't heard anything but hope both okay.

Yeah it was a horrible fall. The last I read, both horses and one jockey were okay, however the other jockey has been hospitalised so hoping he'll be okay.

A little pocket rocket isn't she. History was against her today as were a few of the tipsters. I knew they were going to try and race her a bit closer to the pace today but at a crucial time, found traffic...(again!!!)...and as you say, never looked like winning :hopelessness: but once she found clean air she showed that electric turn of foot. The raw speed she ran from the 100M line was just breathtaking. What a special filly :love_heart:

​​​​​​I haven't read how she is today yet but it looks like she'll have a well deserved break then hopefully start training up for the Cox Plate.

With Cheltenham done I know the majority it seems aren't interested but I do also enjoy the flat.

How are people seeing this season play out?

I'm all over Tahiyra wherever she goes personally.

Little Big Bear and Noble Style look the quickest horses for the guineas, but will they stay?

Always an unknown or their growth from 2 to 3.
 
Statuette in the 1000 guineas I like, god knows if she'll show up though as she wasnt seen for months in the latter end of last season

2,000 is obviously looking very competitive but I prefer to back those I know will stay a mile. I have Auguste Rodin backed antepost but another I have my eye on that looks very classy is Sakheer.

No bets placed yet, I'm waiting to get my copy of Ahead on the Flat in April and have a read of that first. Really want to see Tahiyra train on though, not sure I'd be putting money down on her appearing at the English guineas just yet but would be great to see her win the Arc later in the year

If she is as good as I hope then 3 year old allowance and fillies allowance for the Arc then sign me up.

I'd add sakheer to the very doubtful stayers list he looked all speed

Not certain to train on either being by zoffany

The 3 certain to stay the mile strongly near the top of the betting look to be auguste rodin, chaldean and nostrum

Nostrum looked a big backward 2 yo whereas chaldean looked a smaller more professional type but being by frankel should train on well

The only problem is the run of royal Scotsmen makes me wonder how strong that dewhurst actually was

im struggling to really commit to anything for the guineas. Auguste Rodin looks made for the derby though. May run a similar race to luxembourg in the guineas. He may need soft ground to make the race a stern test.

if I was pushed I think I'd go for chaldean who is having a prep run in the greenham and will likely be ridden by frankie and who wouldn't put it past dettori to win the guineas in his final season.

She looked to have a very nice turn of pace, a bit like her half sister had.

I'd worry about her getting home in the Arc which has been a real strong stamina test in recent years

The ground scuppered me with both tarnawa and vadeni in the last 2 years, both would surely have won on better ground.

Al hakeem has a very similar profile to sotsass, both by siyouni out of galileo mares, and he comes into his 4yo campaign on the back of a very solid 4th in the Arc

I could see him taking a step forward and becoming a real threat this year and with rouget you know he will be trained to peak all year with the Arc in mind.

Tarnawa didn't lose by far though.

The ground always seems to go like that, sods law you bet like it will and then it won't :cower:.

Was on Al Hakeem last season for it, I do like him.

I agree on sakheer, he may be one for the commonwealth Cup or whatever its called at Royal Ascot

The commonwealth cup could be better than the guineas and Derby this year if little big bear, noble style and sakheer all line up
 
Cairo runs in the UAE Derby Saturday for Aidan best priced 3/1 and is one I'll be backing and using in a few rollups. Not ran on the dirt before but his sire sure did and he's been in good form and won going away last time out so if he takes to the dirt as expected he should hopefully relish the extra furlong. Drawn in 5 Ryan should be able to get a good position up the rail and get him settled into a rhythm up with pace before angling off the home turn to power clear in the final furlongs :onthego:
