EA starting to drift a little, nothing too alarming at present, but out 2.2 on BF. I have no investment in any GE horses this year, I imagine some of you guys have books built around EA though, how are you playing things going forward?

Id imagine people who are in deep are probably laying stuff off just in case

....it’s the logistics of millions of ante-post bets and bookies offers involving Elliott horses. Not sure how firms will handle these if calls for an immediate suspension are realised.

it’s an absolute minefield.

Would Energumeme be the most likely to come here if there were to be an absence of envoi?

After the whole bombshell last 24hrs of dead horse seats & the guaranteed knock on effects, I’ve backed the Fish 6/1 NRNB with BFSB just in case politics really kick in & EA doesn’t rock up - because knowing RR if there’s know EA he’ll split the novices in the novice chasers....happy to tie up stake for 2wks either way - that to me is the whole point of NRNB

As I’ve said today on the General Chat, even if they move EA I just don’t think Cheveley Park will want the association with any of this - considered covering Energumene too but don’t see that happening. Backed Shan Blue ew & also Last Destination in this & RSA now. This is mental but I really think EA will be absent now....

If the vibes are correct and EA is going to HDB then that very prompt action by Cheveley Park is surely a positive indication that they at least want to plan to run him still. I

f they were going to definitely withdraw him from Cheltenham then the urgency to move EA would not have been so paramount. If correct this suggests to me they want HDB to take on the mantle and effectively hide EA alongside APT, by moving him to a new squeaky clean team (or at least that's the way they could position the PR).

I don't see them changing their plan with Energumene, likewise Monkfish. Mullins two to line up will be Blackbow and Asterion

Agree with this.

Envoi potentially not turning up doesn’t mean Mullins will move horses based on their current plans.

He probably thinks Asterion could win this without EA imo.

...wouldn’t be first time Rich Ricci had a shake up though.....unlikely but not impossible

Have backed Latest Exhibition NRNB at 16/1 for this. No idea if he'll turn up at Cheltenham at all but this race could end up looking quite appealing. Hopefully Envoi is still there, but just in case. :indecisiveness:

The 'risk free' way to approach it, is probably:

Royal Pagille (Brown Novice Chase)
Monkfish (Marsh)

If Monkfish were to come here, they'd 'back-fill' him with RP in the Brown?

There are other combinations of course, but this one seemed relatively safe at 29/1 as it's highly likely money back, or you have two short priced favs.... and Monkfish isn't gonna run here unless EA does NOT and RP is committed to the "RSA".... both unlikely... but safe.

Monkfish is made for the RSA isn't he ?? No way he comes here even if Envoi doesn't.

Coming out publicly and saying they are moving their horses and being the first owners to do it would be a smart PR move

Somewhat salvage this situation for them in which they have been let down by someone they trusted through no fault of their own.

If Envoi and co were moved to other stables, apart from them potentially turning up at Cheltenham (which would still be doubtful imo), I don't see any other positives. Huge disruption for the horses and everyone else concerned in their 'new home'.
