That performance pretty much puts the seal on Appreciate It going to the Supreme I'd say.

Yh that's was very impressive settled well jumped well and put the race to bed. Must admit I'm feeling fantastic about the request a bet of AI and BO both any race. Never envisaged them being favourite for the Supreme and Ballymore this way round when I placed the bet though.

....understandable feeling a bit giddy on the 200-1 Ai/BO a/r RaB. A few other RaB folk on here will be sitting on;

Bob O/Envoi/Easyland a/r 100-1 Sky
Bob O/Envoi/Shishkin a/r 150-1 Sky
Epatante (CH)/Shishkin (A)/Bob O & Envoi a/r 1500-1 Hills

I thought there could be a chance Robbie Power might ride as he has a good relationship with Robcour

I think they've got a good relationship with Rachel too.

Staggered if they jocked her off... he's never sat on her, she's just won a Grade 1.

I reckon you're safe :)

I've also got a bit on the last one but only got under half that at a boosted 717-1. The only other one I have is Shiskin Arkle Envoi Marsh and BO 2022s Marsh and that was 200-1.

Even more impressive from Bob Olinger today is he’ll improve again for the better ground. I’ll be surprised if he’s not clear fav now in March.

Lovely stuff if you've got any of those, proper filthy! Unfortunately I haven't but I can't complain. I've got Bob O/Column of Fire, 125/1 TWAR that i'd forgotten about though!

Some quotes from Rachael Blackmore after the race. Haven't seen anything from Henry de Bromhead yet:

“He’s always shown us a lot at home and I think today was the stamp of the kind of horse he is for the future. I’m delighted with him.

“I wanted to ride a straight forward enough race on him. He’s a simple horse to ride in that sense and I was happy most of the way.

“He jumped better today in the latter half of the race. The jump is there if you really ask him.

“He quickened up well and he seems to tick a lot of boxes.

“I’m delighted for Brian Acheson and Robcour who are very supportive of the game and to get a Grade 1 winner is brilliant.

“I don’t think he’s a real sharp Champion Hurdle horse in the making. Two and a half is ideal for him now but I wouldn’t rule out two either.

“For the future he’s probably going to be one for longer trips. He’s won a point-to-point and looks one for fences in the future.”

I have BO/shiskin and BO/envoi doubles at 129/1 so starting to feel a bit giddy here too :tears_of_joy:

The Supreme/Ballymore thread was launched by Kev on April 23 last year.

Bob Olinger was first mentioned in post number 3 the following day and he was the talk of the forum from that moment on.

https://www.fatjockey.com/forum/fat-...e-hurdles-2021

kinloch brae also flagged up Bolinger (I'm not sure where) shortly after his ptp win last March.

And fair play to Upping The Ante's Gavin Lynch - I remember him saying he'd already seen the winner of next year's Ballymore - in an episode shortly BEFORE last year's Festival.

Yesterday I was thinking far too many of my multiples involved Bob O.

Now I'm thinking I may need to take significant amounts of valium for breakfast every day of the Festival to cope with the excitement.

Something has surely got to go wrong.

Still the dream lives on for another day. Stay in the present and if it makes us smile - then that in itself makes it all worthwhile.

Was Bob Olinger today more impressive than Bravemansgame in the Challow?

Was Bob Olinger today more impressive than Bravemansgame in the Challow?

Beat a deeper field but visually no more impressive. I'd still have Brave as a very narrow fav personally.

Bob Olinger vs Bravemansgame

is like

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Marvin Hagler.

One's definitely classier then the other.
But the other is a brute.

I'd always go for class in this race myself.
