Fehily will get MTOY if Barry picks B D'Air. Mark Walsh has to get one of the three ? Id say he would get Yanworth ahead of Fehily but MTOY if BJG picks Yanworth.

I hope not, I'm not a fan of his, don't get me wrong, on horses that need holding together that win on the bridle he is great, when push comes to shove I'd rather someone else be on top, also Fehily was top of the cold list before UNWIMH won for him in the Albert Bartlett last year.

:encouragement: I cannot tell you how happy I would be to see AJ line up in this, with VVM.

Let Limini win the Mares against nothing and no-one will care. Add VVM and AJ to the current CH field and without any stars it would be a fantastic race to watch!

Intriguing clash at Punchestown tomorrow:

Limini brushed AJ aside today, no champ hurdle chance for the latter I wouldn't have thought

VVM for this now? Limini clearly has AJ covered?

My goodness I am pleased.... Yorkhill even less likely to turn up here now too.... Ruby will be on one of these Ricci mares?! Surely?!

Limini could go here I would think Kev, gives the team another option anyway

Surely with Limini easily AJ it must make seese to let VVM taker her chance in CH, Cant see Ricci not having a runner in the CH, VVM to CH, with Limini a hot prospect in Mares

I'd be happy with that, I'm sure I took the decent NRNB price when she was entered in the Red Mills just in case... 25/1? 33/1? Probably 25 - I'll check now.

I was wondering about Limini for this, bolted up last year before disappointing in the last two festivals. If he puts in a good round on Saturday....well stranger things have happened. Just took a bit of the 75s on Betfair to a fiver, worth the risk for me. Just noticed as well PP have put him in at 14s

SOAG there first... It was 25/1 NRNB when you posted this.

I'd say ...limini has AJ covered ... they surely think vvm is a better horse than limini still, so vvm in to the CH? Ruby on.

Be very very bold to put last seasons mares novice winner in to the CH based on winning a mares race ... whereas vvm has beaten the boys over 2m in a grade 1 hurdle before ....

Tbf, I did back Limini at big odds inthe Autumn before it won the new mares race so I have a lot of fondness for her and she owes me nothing...would love to see her here though obviously.

I'd go Limini for this race over the Mares. VVM doesn't look a 2 miler, she needs a trip now and the Mullins yard will know they can walk all over AJ with her, despite her seasonal debut run.

Winning jockey Ruby Walsh said: "We kind of steadied up from the fourth-last, it turned into a bit of a sprint to the last and we always knew she wasn't short of pace.
"It was a good performance and onwards and upwards.
"I'd say she jumped better than last season. She was very slick and very accurate.
"Fingers crossed she'll come out of the race well and she can start her prep for Cheltenham next week."
Trainer Willie Mullins added: "The conditions didn't suit us and we didn't have a run all season, so I didn't really know what to expect.
"The fact that Ruby didn't even have to pick up his stick means she has improved a fair bit from last year.
"I'm hoping that will bring her along nicely. The mares' race (at Cheltenham) is what I have been aiming for.
"She has run a stone better than I thought she would."
Mullins won the same race with Annie Power 12 months ago before she was supplemented for, and won, the Champion Hurdle.
Asked whether he could follow the same route with Limini, the trainer added: "You wouldn't know the way things are going, but we are not going to discuss that."
Gordon Elliott was not too disappointed with the performance of Apple's Jade.
He said: "There are no excuses and she was beaten by a better horse on the day.
"The plan is still the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham.
"A bit better ground and a stronger gallop would suit her better."

As Champion is NRNB on a lot of bookies tempted to get stuck in to her and VVM for CH on the basis one is definitely going. She just looked so strong

I haven't seen the race but Limini is now 10/1 Nrnb. For those that watched it - is that still a fair price?

Its dropping like flies, 8/1 best price NRNB. If she goes there I would say very fair. She didnt even need the stick and first run this year so will be fitter.

I just wonder whether they will stick to the plans. Either way if she has improved that much, next years Champion could be crazy if all fit.

Porkies told 10s still at Betfred NRNB. I have done a 2pt win. Because if she goes who knows how good she could be based on improvement from last race to this one. Dangerous to say that after one race against mares I guess but Apples Jade is a decent one and she won easily without the stick, Ruby said she has bags of pace, first run of the year, Jumped better. A lot of ticks if she does run. Praying VVM still goes Mares
