Sad to see Le Vent Dantan no longer with us :(

I would say there is aright tussle going on between Cooper and Patrick over Don Poli ;)

I can see (and hope) Cooper wins this battle. A horse of Don Poli's class should not be running in the 4 miler. Gigginstown have got some other good shots at that race anyway (Wounded Warrior/Thunder And Roses). I guess in the eyes of Mullins the interests of his son come before the rest of the team.

Imo Mullins will place the horse in the race he thinks it has the best chance of winning. If he was to favour a ride for his son in general, then Patrick would have had loads more winners to his name by now on that theory.

I don't know I'm sure Ruby could have ridden a lot of these bumper horses that Patrick has ridden couldn't he? Plus my real point is he can be quite stubborn when he gets an idea in his head (I don't think having Un De Sceaux stood in his box at Closutton was his best chance of a Champion Hurdle last year).

Mullins is champion trainer for a reason and thats why his owners trust him to place their horses in the races that they have the best chance of winning.

Yes that statement is fine but this is exactly the reason we are having this discussion. Gigginstown have the favourite for the 4 miler anyway they also have the favourite for the RSA and a great chance in the JLT. That's three winning chances plus you employ a top class jockey so why would you shuffle VL and DP up one, reduce your winning chances by one, and only have him able to ride one of them.

I get your point tent,I just didnt agree with comment about his son over the rest of the team, mullins too professional for that.

Maybe a deciding factor in the Mullins/Gigginstown debate will be that Mullins seems far keener on Cheltenham than O'Leary, whenever the question of the fez comes up their reactions to it are quite different.

Is Kings Palace one of those horses that finds nothing when asked? Is he one of those horses that has to run his opponnts into the ground early to win races? TS found nothing in last years Albert and was reluctant to ask the horse last weekend.

He has a great cruising speed but may get found out again under pressure with other front runners.

"I am not a hater because I have actually backed him and TYM weeks ago". I am probably one of the only guys that like to oppose their own bets. :D

Maybe Tom Scu was mindful of the close proximity of the fez last weekend so opted to give him the experience jumping round and tweak his fitness, try to get him spot on for the big day

:D I think the younger Pipe is getting the hang of peaking them for the festival.

Young Scudamore seems to have more than one way of riding these days too.

Could be a good race. think Don Poli is the real deal.

DP is demo the real deal, KP could be a sitting duck for him.

Guys! are we ever going to hype a British trained horse on this forum???!!!

I think that sprinter Sacre at hendersons has potential.

Potential RSA ride for Barry G - Hendo has nought ?

I’ve just the one ride at my local track, Navan, on Sunday, but it’s a decent one in the shape of APACHE JACK (3.55) in the Ten Up Novice Chase.

I rode him to a third-place finish in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at the Festival last season and I’d say he has a strong chance here going back up in trip to three miles for the first time over fences.

I thought we were going to win going to the last at Cheltenham but he just got outstayed in the end and I’d put that down to immaturity as much as anything else. Another year on and he’s likely to be much more the finished article.

Maybe Don Poli can go to the 4 miler.

Very Wood Cheltenham form etc etc
