2015 Neptune Novice Hurdle

Tell us more still in neptune, I'll keep my slip till its a def non runner ha, OV.....the joy of the festival....Mullins, betfair, paddy power, OV, and that all before the confusing preview nites starts....if we listened to everybody who knows what horse will turn up where:confused:

Betfair can put you away at this time of the year. The market is fairly thin and it only takes some punter with a good position to take a bit of profit or switch into NRNB and it looks like a run.

The following 36 horses have been scratched:
Auvergnat (fr), baie des iles (fr), baily cloud (ire), ballybolley (ire), birch hill (ire), boite (ire), champagne present (ire), different gravey (ire), el namoose, globalisation (ire), great try (ire), grove silver (ire), identity thief (ire), kingfisher creek, kylemore lough, l'ami, serge (ire), lyrical theatre (ire), man of plenty, montdragon (fr), morning run (ire), net d'ecosse (fr), no dice (ire), open eagle (ire), royal caviar (ire), russian bill (ire), seldom inn, sempre medici (fr), shanroe santos (ire), stylish chap (ire), tara point

Both have chances. Who will get the rides ? Is Fehily jocked up on anything else for Fry ?

WPM

Outlander: I'd imagine he'll run in the Neptune. That's more than likely. I think he's got Neptune written all over him.

McKinley: I don't know what we're going to do with him but I would probably say Neptune.

Alvisio Ville: The chances are he's going to run in the Sky Bet Supreme. I thought he learnt more bad habits than good ones last time but I'll say no more about that. Connections are leaning towards the Supreme with him and that's fine with me.

Shaneshill: If Nichols Canyon runs in the Neptune, I'd say he'd be going for the Supreme but he has a good bit of work to do first. We're not there with him yet.

Nichols Canyon: He was a winner on the Flat at 1m6f but he could go over any trip. The owner hopes he might have a new Inglis Drever. At this stage, I reckon he'll end up in in the Neptune.

Tell Us More: He could go to the Supreme or the Neptune. It will depend upon how he gallops. He has to make me happy at home before he goes there at all – which he hasn’t been doing lately.

Looks like a move for Parlour Games and Outlander today.

Bill now saying Henderson will probably have no runner in Neptune. John Fergusons phone will be busy :)

Kilcrea Vale

I won’t say no with him for the Neptune yet - we’ll see. He’ll be working somewhere this week. I’ve no doubt he’s very good but he’s just been a bit quiet. It’ll be tough on him to do that [run next in the Neptune] but I’ve no doubt he’s very talented. He’s got to do something this week [if he’s to run at Cheltenham]. He’s only had one run and he’s only young.

Windsor Park is pricewise

kilcrea Vale not totally ruled out - working Wednesday.

Thanks OV. Thought this might be the case. Looking at this race and a Willie Mullins dual grade one hurdle winner is still 5/1. Surely that is still value?

Segal was surprised shaneshill wasn't their Neptune horse.

I think Mullins has convinced Wylie not to take on Douvan in the supreme and therefore Nicholls Canyon has been diverted to the Neptune with Mullins saying Shaneshill has got a bit of work to do to make it to chelt.I wonder if in fact he just dosent want these two horse to take on Douvan and the same for Tell Us More such is his belief that Douvan is the best novice hes ever sent to the festival.Thats why he dosent want the giggy team insisting Tell Us More go for supreme...he knows Douvan is the real deal...he dosent want these three taking on Douvan...

Mullins seemed to suggest Handicaps might be an option for TUM in RP.

This Kilkrea Vale story gets a Spirting life write up ....

Kilcrea Vale – Will He? Won’t He? Where Is He?

Talking of dramas, Kilcrea Vale. A general 12/1 chance for the Neptune on the back of one excellent victory at Market Rasen in January, Henderson seemingly ruled him out of the Festival very early on at today’s visit. ‘So I’ll have nothing in the Neptune,’ Henderson said in a definite tone. ‘What about Kilcrea Vale?’ ‘No. No.’ There’s a story. Kilcrea Vale ruled out of Festival. But, hang on, there was a twist. ‘No, no, I won’t definitely say no about him actually,’ backtracked Henderson, ruling him back in as quickly as he ruled him out. ‘He’s got to do something this week, though.’ If I recall correctly, I think it was Vaniteux who ruled himself back in with some sparkling late work this time last year, and he ran a cracker when third in the Sky Bet Supreme, so it’s probably not time to be ripping up those Neptune tickets just yet.

Ferguson sounded a bit downbeat about Parlour Games in the RP quotes. Said he hoped he was the one to beat but had been on the go along time and hoped he gave a good account of himself.

GRAHAM WYLIE'S FIVE CHELTENHAM HORSES TO FOLLOW

NICHOLS CANYON

(Neptune Novices’ Hurdle, Wednesday March 11, 4-1)

“He’s been excellent all season, and it’s just a shame he stepped on that hurdle over Christmas (at Leopardstown) because that’s the only blemish on his record. He would have won three Grade Ones if that hadn’t happened.

“He’s still a double Grade One winner though, and if he jumps well, Ruby says he has tonnes of stamina. He’ll run in the Neptune, and he’s got a great chance.

I think price wise has picked a perfect horse for the race, Windsor parks form behind Nichols canyon looks good and looking at his form he versatile on all types of ground. What you all think?

a lot of negativity around NC at tonight's previews. Don't get it myself.
