For a top trainer,if I was an owner at hendersons I would so worried about the many horses that have picked up so many problems, I cant have him as a top trainer, look at Mullins and Nicholls, a class apart!!

All three have cases to answer ..didn't win a chase between them last year at the fez

Nicky has a hell of a lot missing out of action and is over focused on Cheltenham
Nicholls seems to be unable to get his horses peaked for the Festival over last seasons - early season pot hunting
Mullins had issues bringing through chasers

Makes sense, if the horse stays the trip why run it against Douvan when there is a better chance to scoop a win in the Neptune with no certain market leader from the yard, big strapping horse, exciting. Wherever it runs it should go well!

AV around 11/10 for the Deloitte on Sunday and from the money pouring on him yesterday for the Neptune it would appear they are expecting him to win and then maybe shorten up again for Cheltenham. There may be some value to be had from the double bets, if offered, to win on Sunday then go on to win the Neptune, anything around 12/1 or bigger may be worth a couple of quid, if he was to flop on Sunday he would most likely drift so could be the way to look at it.

Willie Mullins throws four darts at the Grade 1 Deloitte Novice Hurdle and I’m on Nichols Canyon, who got rid of me at the third at Leopardstown on his latest appearance.

He won at Fairyhouse and Cork prior to that, is a fair horse in his own right and will like the two and quarter miles.

McKinley keeps going forward, but Sempre Medici has to improve his jumping, although possessing a solid engine.

But if I had a choice it would be Alvisio Ville, who is owned by J P McManus and will be ridden by Tony McCoy.

I know he has to improve on the bare form of his win in a maiden at Leopardstown, but is a horse I like and he is doing everything easily at home.

I never like to doubt others because they may have money on the horse, thats why I never commented on AV.

Form should have told the story. The second horse he beat prior has been beaten by futher since.
