Just want to say " Thank's " to all the Contributors on the Forum ,And obviously the guys that keep it rolling !.
I think it's Brilliant !.
Love getting home and tuning in , finding out what's happening and who's backing
which horse and why.
Definitely enjoyed my horseracing more since becoming a member .
Good Luck to you all for the season ahead. !!

I’d like to second that BigChaang. Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable. Loads I would have missed out on without Fat Jockey!

He was my first big antepost winner when I had him at 25s for the stayers hurdlea few years back it was when I was just really starting to get into cheltenham and backed him for the Gold cup as a noivice but he hasnt seemed the same since returning from injury,

Excited to see him race again for sure but im not sure he will get back to what he was still that stayers hurdle win was unreal :)

Not sure where to put this as there are no threads or books yet but did anyone see the race Aspen Colorado won yesterday?

I had flagged him up as one to watch as he was fav for Cheltenham bumper a couple of years ago and now he’s been moved to jonjo. He was top weight yesterday so I thought the plan may be to drop down the handicap and end up winning a big Saturday handicap maybe Anyway I put a small ew bet on even though he drifted out from 16s to 33s as I wanted to watch the race on my phone and he was pushed along after 3/4 fences. Somehow Coleman kept him going and he won by 4 lengths. It was an incredible ride. So I’m gonna track him now and see how he goes. Coral cup perhaps??

XC - Tiger Roll
QMCC - Altior
Stayers - Penhill
Gold Cup - Presenting Percy

700/1

Similar to Mia's Storm (and apologies again, i've not gone through other threads to see if this was mentioned), was running over fences last year, fell twice so was put in a handicap hurdle off top weight yesterday - ended up winning reasonably comfortably. I think this was more than likely a confidence booster and will be put over the larger obstacles next time out.

I'm not sure if any of you guys were at the Cheltenham Preview evening last year in Cargo (absolute shambolic venue for what it's worth), but Paul Kealy, spoke very highly of Mia's Storm and backed her chances for a novice chase. Now for some reason or another, I can't quite remember why, she ended up missing the festival. But could be one to keep an eye on over the coming months if she takes to fences this time round.

Backed Mia's Storm yesterday and she took a huge drift, BJG left me down for a very nice double with a horrendous ride on Dostal Phil. I was going to say she could be worth a go in the stayers as she wasn't quoted but was too lazy to write something up last night.

I'm a fan of Mia's Storm as well jkite. My first thought seeing her over hurdles was that it was a prep race for the Ladbroke Trophy and it looked a pretty ideal one at that. A mark of 149 looks pretty attractive.
Didn’t quite look the same horse after that Kempton fall last Christmas but hopefully the summer break and that win and run has done her a confidence boost.

A few reservations would be:

- She would want good ground which will be a question mark until nearer the day
- You really need to be up to running in a Gold Cup to be winning this race when you look at the likes of Native River, Total Recall, Many Clouds, Smad Place, Bobs Worth, Denman etc - not sure she is quite up to that level yet

But she looked a fine jumper on her first 2 chase starts last season, would fall into a second season chaser which I always like in this race, and the distance is no worry. Considering Elegant Escape (another favourite of mine) is bordering on favouritism for the race and she beat him fair and square at Chepstow last season, depending on her odds she could be a good bet for the race. Hoping she sneaks into the market at a big price.

Any positives before he went ?

Too far out. Just a novicey mistake But not a positive, would only take another fall to reconsider fences

Actually an unseat but the bad news is that he ran loose for the rest of the race without jumping any fences so he's had a race but they've learned nothing.

The elliot/ giggi chasers are real value imo in this market. I'd expect to have the 4 miler horse out of those too.

Hi Fellas, this is my first time posting here.....been keeping up with this site since last year so I though its about time I got involved.
You guys have some really really good knowledge about the game, it always makes for an interesting read.
Iv been following the sport for around 10 years now so not as experienced as some of you guys. I do have some family that own horses but they're pretty useless to be honest lol and they're with small stables.
I had one of my first ante post bets today
Annamix - 14/1 - Supreme
if the cap fits 25/1 - champion hurdle
topofthegames - 16/1 - RSA
al bout photo - 33/1 - gold cup
yankee + acca
here's to hoping lol

Welcome to the forum.
I'm around 10 years as well, what a brilliant time that was for Flat and National Hunt!

Like the look of the bet, all horses that I like for their races.
