Davy Crockett declared for 2m race at Listowel. La Note Verte joins him from the same stable. No Love Me Tender.
Cheers Ista. Glad I askedThey didn’t a few months ago, any ante post bets need to be placed over the counter, the complete reversal of Hills strategy who refuse bets at the counter and send you to the machines….
Hopefully this is a new SkyBet thing!I’ve just noticed I can cashout antepost doubles with Sky. I had a couple land with a successful first leg, and the cashout value is reasonable. I also had one with a horse on Champions Day at Ascot, also available to cashout. Assume everyone else is the same? It must have changed in the last week or so - before that it was greyed out.
Out of interest, are these more recent bets?Hopefully this is a new SkyBet thing!
I'm even being offered cash-out on AntePost Chelt bets, placed with Free Bets! (not great sums, but still..)
Nice one! Offering me cash out for ALL my ante post bets, not just Cheltenham (excluding free bets) this is a nice addition and one needed to match other firms, and one that will surely make me a customer with them more often now.I’ve just noticed I can cashout antepost doubles with Sky. All of my older bets with SkyBet have no cash out available.
Great news for many that Eggs, thanks for posting.reduction in the price of a pint of Guinness is among a host of changes Cheltenham have announced aimed at further improving the customer experience for the season ahead including the four-day Festival in March.
They are:
- The earliest sale price for The Festival has been held since 2024. Additional discount windows have also been introduced, giving racegoers the opportunity to buy tickets at a reduced price for longer. It means that ticket prices are the same or lower than the 2025 Festival for more than 10 months.
- The capacity for each day of the Festival will be reduced from 68,500 to 66,000
- The price of all draught beers and ciders will be reduced meaning a pint of Guinness is £7.50. This applies to all 16 racedays. There are some minor reductions to the price of spirits and Prosecco is being introduced at Cheltenham for the first time.
- All remaining drink restrictions in the Club Enclosure will be lifted meaning racegoers can move freely around with them.
- A new covered food court will be in the Tented Village while the Cottage Rake and Mill House bars in the Main Grandstand are being refurbished and will open at the Showcase in October as one new bar named Prestbury View.
- There will be additional food and beverage zones located around the racecourse, some of which will be under cover while the Vestey Food Court will be transformed into the Green Grazer, supporting local produce as part of the track's sustainability commitment.
- A major investment has been made into the PA system ready for the new season, allowing racegoers to hear the commentary more clearly.
- Upgraded Racecourse TV coverage is being provided by RaceTech in partnership with RaceIQ, giving racegoers more live information and data on screen during the day than ever before.
- For the first time since 2019, Wednesday of The Festival will be promoted as Ladies Day with the focus on growing the number of female racegoers.
- The Room To Race partnership with Venatour will continue with more hotel providers joining to offer reduced-rates for racegoers.
Sky migrated to the betfair platform recently - probably a consequence of thatHopefully this is a new SkyBet thing!

I could be wrong here , but i thought it was Robith .. or he was interviewed by a newspaper journo or something like that ??.Think there was a thread about Cheltenham in the sun before but can't find it. Booked a week in Tenerife for the festival and just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for bars in the Los Cristianos area? First time doing this and have heard some bars already booked out. Would regular travellers already have a place booked or just chance your arm when you arrive in march. Any help appreciated![]()
Im booked as well mate, staying in Costa Adeje this time though but always watch at least 1 day in Los Cris, would recommend Chicagos if there's a bigger group of you or for small group of say 4/5 then GGs both bars owned by the same group and always make a big deal of Cheltenham. When iv been previously i usually book around January time and never had any problems, if you rock up on the day without booking anything then you could end up going bar to bar trying to find somewhere as it has got ever more popular in recent years.Think there was a thread about Cheltenham in the sun before but can't find it. Thanks for that Many Clouds,my apartment seems close enough to Chicago's so that looks a decent spot. The Funchal strip is half decent too, 3/4 proper racing pubs back to back but they are a bit tight for space as only small bars. Hoppys Bar and Mcguires in coata adeje are right next to each other and always a great atmosphere there if you fancy a short taxi ride.
Was banging the drum all last year that they should try him over 2m especially in a strongly run race. Just think he lacks a turn of foot that you need over further. Whether he has the pace to lay up in a strongly run 2m is another matter, though to me is worth a try. Now,please shout me down and tell me I’m daft, but could you consider the yellow clay for the champion hurdle? Is Gordy going to try and manufacture another churdle horse?
