Now,please shout me down and tell me I’m daft, but could you consider the yellow clay for the champion hurdle? Is Gordy going to try and manufacture another churdle horse?

Not short of pace or stamina, I wouldn't bet against it

In the racingpost today, there is an article titled the poniros rule?
Towards the end it mentions changes for weight for age allowances in novice chases. Does anyone have any information regarding the changes?

For some reason links aren’t loading in here, I’m sure @Kevloaf is aware and onto it.

The weight for age amendments are all over the RP and S Life sites now….

I can still click on Q's link that says 'loading' and it takes me to the RP article

I’m not sure about the faffing about with novice chase races and allowances myself
Especially as they expect smaller field sizes initially.
Once again ignoring the fucking obvious issue of too many races and options. Changing the conditions of all those races and options will do jack shit.
Short term anyway.
Would have been better to reduce the races and options simultaneously and build from there.
Cos there might not be a long term for some.
The poniros rule is a great idea though. Pretty sure myself and others suggested similar in march.
Anything that reduces Mullins options should hopefully mean a gradual trickle down effect

Yep, I agree.

Is there a State Man, Galopin Des Champs and Poniross rule now then? Next season there could well be the Lossiemouth rule too. Willie going for an all new type of Cheltenham bingo card.

Must admit I’m in favour of the Poniros rule. I don’t mind missing winners when I have under-estimated a horse or misread the form but with horses which have never run - then hand me a crystal ball or something. For me this rule makes sense.

It means all book builders and antepost punters haven't got to worry about covering half a dozen unraced Mullins novices hurdlers (particularly in the supreme and triumph) when it gets near the day.
And that's coming from a Poniros Ponce. 😊

Probably a daft question but does paddy power have the machines in shop with the festival ante post on them? Never been into a paddy power shop before but am making a journey over to Bolton on Saturday in the hope of snaffling some of their prices

They didn’t a few months ago, any ante post bets need to be placed over the counter, the complete reversal of Hills strategy who refuse bets at the counter and send you to the machines….
