Related Bets (ideas)

Yea, had couple of goes at the each way double. Quite like it's chances of at least placing. Seem to only be two places available in the BANC now though so I've not got as much on as I'd like. Will have another good look at going in again after decs.

Seeing as I'm here... Today's related Cheltenham Trixie

Holy Joe Smoke (3:35 Sandown)
Henry's Friend (Ultima)
Resplendent Grey (NHC)

Goshen and Victtorino (Ultima) an alternative. But I prefer Henry's Friend :welcoming:

Seeing as this went well yesterday having another crack today.

Kainsbourg (14:10), Don't Tell Jack (15:40) and Ethical Diamond (County Hurdle)

Kinturk Kalanisi later has form with the Now Is the Hour and Captain Cody from the NHC. And Better Days Ahead BANC but that's more of a leap. Playing the trebles anyway :biggrin-new:

St Pancras and Lulumba as well. But that's not very exciting so probably won't bother...

Was literally thinking about thim this morning in the shower :indecisiveness: :highly_amused:

Given some of his rides this year he surely gets off the mark, and then I agree, another ... like busses ....

What's he got?

Day 1
Terefirma
Resplendant Grey

10 pence each way Super Heinz

Jack Kennedy

Through the card on day 1 .... pays the cool million

Romeo Coolio - 12/1
Touch Me Not - 14/1
Search For Glory - 20/1
Kala Conti - 16/1
Brighterdaysahead - 9/4
Wendrock - 18/1
Will Do - 12/1

I'll probably just back his rides each day, he is mustard

surprised how few wins Jack has in last 5 years

Few missed through injury and a few from Elliott's horses being moved potentially, without checking

Day One Danny M

EW Trixie - 1803/1

Karniquet (40/1)
Jade De Grugy (9/2)
Captain Cody (7/1)

Probably be bigger on Tuesday

Solid each double the last two....absolutely flyer in the first but the place part would make it a nice looking bet

Love it when I'm done with my books and I'm just putting on anything at all :eagerness:

Definitely Rachel next

I'm considering dropping Touch Me Not and Brighterdaysahead for the Super Yankee.

Rachels' book on day one is decent as well...

Workahead
The Short Go
July Flower
Murcia

Gonna wait til Thursday decs on Tuesday and try and put together some trainer ones across the week as well - Joseph, Gavin, HDB, Skelton, Pauling, Elliott and McManus (might as well be a trainer with the number of runners he has) all in the firing line

Cheers Kev.

Not so much luck today.

On the jockeys theme, had a look at Ben Jones as having some potentially interesting rides. Won the Plate on Shake em up Harry last year.

Got Henry's Friend and Haiti Colours on Tuesday with decent chances. Shake em up Harry going for the repeat on Thursday. Pic Roc been quite fancied for the Novice Handicap. Four interesting enough runner there.

One or two other big priced for Pauling probably and may even pick up some others? Got one for Lavelle in Grand Annual.

He really is a brilliant jockey isn't he. I think I'll follow him blind.

I’ve moved on to 2026. Thoughts on a Mares related double. If Lossiemouth goes to the Champion Hurdle which surely must happen next year then I really fancy Wodhooh for the Mares Hurdle. Throw in Spindleberry for the Mares Chase and we’re on a Mare roll.

What price do you think those three all end up taking in those targets ?

William Munny (Arkle)
Marine Nationale (QMCC)

Makes sense really

Although probably both have similar campaigns, pitched in deep to gain experience - so may be bigger at some stage when beaten along the way

Fast forward about 11.5 months from now:

"you got constitution hill, state man, kopek/anzadam/munny/new lion etc in the champion hurdle, it looks a tough race to try and win this year. I know it's been the three year plan with lossie but thats really only on the basis that its a walkover. She's won the mares twice and it looks the easier race again this year. And paul has indicated he would like to ride state man/kopek/anzadam. And also (Insert a nonsense of your choosing here from the following list 1.shes not working as well as we'd like 2.its the right thing for the mare 3.shes still a young horse, there's always next year)

Don’t forget the ‘She’s only a 7yo’.

Yeah that was my point, so hard predicting where Mares will go because their same sex races are always the easier option.
I wouldn’t be surprised if all 3 mentioned by BuckingThe Trend head for different races….

They will change something around the mares races though.
I'd be pretty sure of that.
Just not sure how far they will go.
Hoping they move the Hurdle and Chase altogether myself.

Agree - Id be amazed if the conditions weren't changed to either prevent Lossiemouth running (e.g. no Grade 1 winners) or to severely compromise her chance (e.g. 10lb grade 1 penalty).

Not sure it sits well potentially penalising previous winners of a G1 in a G1.
They've developed the mares programme and aren't going back in it.
The issue they created for themselves was promoting the Mares Hurdle to a G1, it's seen as the pinnacle race in the UK mares calendar, but means the champion hurdle suffers as a result.
If they do the same with the Mares Chase we riot....

Yes - penalties would mean downgrading to Grade 2. Maybe they will be more creative but they surely wont want Lossiemouth doing a repeat in the race next year.
