Interesting that Irish Point is running. I'm pretty sure Gordon said they will probably go to the festival fresh. What I see is him running against Facile Vega now with a view to step up in trip if they can't get close, and I guess that ties in with the money for the Ballymore more recently for him.
 
Nicky has 2 in the Sidney Banks atm - Attacca and Persian Time.

As expected, no Jet Powered...

That 4th hurdle run will open up the opportunity to head for one of the handicaps if they need it

Good prize money and he's still going to have loads in hand, 2/1 is a great bet imo
 
D day for Vega Sunday. Turns out it's a very good trial. We'll find out if he has what it takes and once and for all know which race he'll end up in.

And Dark Raven proves himself the best of the Munir novices.

I'm hoping Vega proves himself top top class as we need these good horses. I'd like to see Inthepocket and Dark Raven travel into it well but be done for toe in the last furlong by Facile Vega. Not asking for much...

I'm hoping High Definition will take them along at a good gallop. This race could be set at a better gallop than the Irish Champion Hurdle, which doesn't seem to have one in it that will want to force the pace. State Man will probably have to take it up.
 
If anything other than Good Land wins today, does anyone think it'll affect the Ballymore or is the winner going t obe the new Albert Bartlett fav?

Probably not imo. However, if you look a bit deeper it could depend on the nature of the win? Imo most horses here are all in with a shout and likely target is the Bartlett. As Good Land still isn't really that short in the Ballymore I don't think it will impact many around him. What could happen as one example though is if Grangeclare West wins, does he shorten for ballymore, do the bookies react and shorten the form of Lawlors of Naas, Champ Kiely, Irish Point etc

Alot of different variables really. And I've only listed 1 of those examples. But overall big impact on the AB imo, depends on the manner lf victory if has an affect on the ballymore.
 
Yeah, I think if Good Call wins it may get thrown out as "well he beat a bunch of stayers"

Although that's me jsut speculating about random opinions on an event that hasn't happened yet so not really worth me saying :rolleyes: :loyal:

Almost as useless as me saying how much I love the colours..... Our Conor, Martello Tower :love_heart::love_heart: - definitely a soft spot for the yellow! :lemo:

Probably Bartlett favourite. I've got Good Land backed for the Ballymore but I'm kinda hoping he doesn't win and something else I have backed for the Bartlett does :highly_amused:
 
Trainer oozing confidence re Good Land today. Get the impression he is something special.
